Glad she's running again. But just in case you didn't notice, if I remember correctly at least one of the PCB boards is double sided so you need to solder the caps on both sides to ensure a reliable contact.

If you disconnect the plug going into the temperature sensor on the engine lid the stock fan will run continuously. Looking at the wiring diagram, whilst the circuit opening relay switches the fuel pump on, the actual power feed passes through the EFI main relay first. So pulling the EFI fuse should also disable the fuel pump.
