its not exactly the same shape but I have turned in the past and applied some sealer.
I never saw or had a problem with water ingress but I did have a boot mounted ic which sucked air out through the underside of the car

Single Rev 3 right side rear light as per pics some slight damage hence price
when fitted most damage is out of site
