Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Toyo T1-R Tyres
I just changed from T1-R on 15" my winter wheels to 17" and the 15" did feel mushy and wollowy at the back but gripped really well in the wet. The 245/35 R17 rears and 215/40 R17 fronts now feel much more precise and turn in well, it seems the 50 profile is just a bit too tall for the...

Re: Castlecombe Special GT Race October 2006
What rubber were you wearing there George? IIRC you were on road tyres at the brunthingthorpe day. Edit: You said, slicks! Is there a control tyre in the series or is it down to the person with the most money? I wish there was something like that down south, my car is significantly quicker than whe...

Castlecombe Special GT Race October 2006
This was my 4th race ever after doing track days and my most enjoyable to date. I qualified 24th out of 30 and managed to finish 20th. I had some good battles with a Global Light and a Ginetta G20 letting them pass earlier in the race due to the classic novice mistake of turning too early twice and ...

Re: Decent Discs/Pads!!
Dont buy the ebay discs mine lasted less than a year when 10 - 12mm cracks started to appear from around the drilled holes. I now use the ebc slotted and dimpled discs though solid disc work just as well I use the EBC yellow stuff front and rear and find the stopping power excellent even from cold. ...

Re: Bruntingthorpe trackday video from April
But at least you could get past the lexus cars on the straight bits. I was wondering about the glove thing myself :-k Not sure it might have been so I could use the camera remote easily to stop and start the video. One thing it does high light though I have a real bad habit of slipping the steering...

Whats the best camber settings and adjustment kit ?
Need to adjust my rear camber and wandering what other people are using The fronts ok as I have Tein pillow ball top mounts and they give me - 2.5 deg but the back is only -1.5 and looking at my race tyres after a race the rears look as though the out side edge is doing most the work and rounding of...

Bruntingthorpe trackday video from April
A bit late but a request from jonb some laps as we chased each other around the track at Bruntingthorpe being held up continually by fast in a strait line Supra's who had the legs to keep us behind and were reluctant to let faster cornering cars past The video is a bit fragmented as I was using a bo...
