Cambelt change - Rev 3
The cambelt on my rev 3 N/A is due for renewal in the next few months. As the car is my daily driver, I have no garage and no experience of changing one myself, it is a job for a garage to do. With the engine being located where it is I gather it's a bit of a ball ache to do. My question is what is ...

Re: MOT = Fail
Cheers for the replies guys. I've been turbo busy over the last couple of days and not a great deal of time to sort things. I'll pop the emissions results up tonight and see what you think. I hope a lambda sensor sorts it as it's cheaper than another cat! Alex, I know you weren't implying that I get...

Re: MOT = Fail
Didn't think about the lambda sensor, good point. I drove the car for about half an hour before the test to get it nice and hot.

MOT = Fail
Depressingly, the MR2 has failed it's MOT. The faults are that the NSR wheel bearing has excessive play, which isn't the end of the world, and gaiter on the steering rack has split which again isn't a major problem. What is getting on my wick is that it has failed emissions yet again. It had a new c...

Re: Headlamp bulb upgrade
I've got Osram Night Breaker Plus lamps and these are excellent. The light is whiter than OEM lamps and noticeably brighter. HID kits aren't technically legal without automatic levelling and headlight washers. Also, if you want good sidelight lamps, try the Phillips Blue Vision ones. Although the gl...

I should be about for this. Not been to a meet since the rolling road day at SRR early last year. I'll be heading across from Swindon

Re: Fuel Consumption
I drive a 34 mile round trip to work in my standard rev 3 N/A. Some nose to tail/heavy traffic followed by a short motorway stint, then flowing A roads. If I brim the tank with V-Power I can get 325-360 miles before the gauge gets a bit to low for my liking. 400 is achievable on a motorway run if yo...

I'm down in Swindon, but it would only take an hour to scoot up the A417 and M5 to get to the pub for a meet, so I'd be interested

Re: 23rd Feb - Cold Weather Rolling Road
Had a good day yesterday. Great to chat away with like minded petrolheads and find out that my N/A is up 8bhp on last year! There were quite a few people taking photos so is there any chance some could be posted up on here?

Literally no difference at all. Got one in my Rev 3 N/A. Waste of money really.
