You can try, but the only proper way is to check and adjust after with a timing light. If I try and get it wrong can it damage the engine, or should the knock sensor protect it from that? It is unlikely to damage the engine, but it won't run correctly. The knock sensor wasn't designed for what you ...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Can I change distributor o ring without timing

Need to change the o ring on the distributor shaft is there any way of marking it up so I don't need to do the timing after

Haha yh I'm always in Rayleigh, Luke from pacific quoted me £150 parts and labour which was really good can't see these people doing it for that but worth a try

Hi I need to change my rocker cover gasket and distributor oil ring as I have a leak, can anybody tell me all the parts needed for the job e.g inlet manifold gasket? New bolts? Any other gaskets/seals/rings?

I need to change my rocker cover gasket and oring in side the distributor on my 93 (rev 2) as I have a oil leak, what gaskets would I need, I know I would need rocker cover gasket and inlet manifold gasket are there any more I need? And I hear changing the bolts is a pretty good idea as the standard...

Iv done over 200 miles since it happened and its been fine I was doing 120+ for quite a long time when It happened

Yeah the fans kicking in I checked over the cooling system it seams fine I drive it 40 miles a day work and back and the temps been perfect sits exactly where it always has takes same amount of time to get up to temp and heaters all ok it's strange is it possible I boiled the oil or something?

Just drove from Northampton to Essex and near the end of my journey the temp went up, so I cut it out left it a while started it up the temp went up again so I cut it out again, I got home (towed) left it idleling the temp sat perfect I took it for a drive to see if it was under boost still no probl...

I've always run 13-14 psi no problem but must of had a leak before the gearbox got done, now there's no leak and weather has dropped maybe its boosting too high or there's a problem with the pressure sensor

My car has a mbc and has always run 12 psi 13 in 5th. I took it in to have a gearbox change and when I got it back it sounded alot nicer under boost, so I'm guessing he sorted a leak I must have had however, driving it home I was getting fuel cut in 5th gear then the day after fuel cut in every gear...

Yea that will defiantly be good clutch I would stay away from eBay unless its from a trusted seller meant to be alot of fakes
