Re: Brake hose circlips

As above - used 'e' clips on my goodridge hoses.

Got the assorted clip set from halfruds, cost about £6.

They are also a better/more secure fit, than the original clips.

Re: 2008 MR2 Mk1 Club National AGM, 12th Oct

Is it ok to just turn up on the day? No promises, depends which side of the bed i get out of.

What time are people arriving?

As someone who looks at the forum regularly,i only noticed this was taking place yesterday. I very rarely look at 'stickys'.

Just wonder how many other members didn't know?

Re: Heater Matrix Question

Had the same rust hole problem, on drain chanel below windscreen on mine. Virtually impossible to see unless you take the wing off and remove a small clip off panel - not a 5 minute job! You could try pouring water into the windsreen vent only(watering can).It should drain to the ground behind the f...

Re: Yoko A drives or C drives??

I'm using C drives on 14'' rims, they replaced 539's Have used both types on track - very similar performance.Progresive feel on track, didn't feel like they were going to throw me off at every corner. Which is quite handy for a driver with very limited ability.Anna also tried them on my car(ex F1 tes...

Re: Mr2 Super Edition, SC white over gold for sale , i'm nothing to do with it!

It wouldn't get £4250 of my money for a bit of gold paint and a few ''stick on bits'' and an exta badge.

Rust under rear bumper doesn't apeal either

Re: Rear Tie Bar I'm desperate!

Would also advise sbits tie bars

Works out only a few pounds more - and you get two complete new tie bars, rather than just replacing the two worn ball joints

I replaced one outer joint 2 months ago - part was £58.00 from mrT

You live and learn!

1b fuel injectors on a 1a

Is there anything to be gained, by fitting 1b injectors on a 1a?

I believe they are larger on the b. Would this mean ,more fuel=more go?

Or not worth the hassle,disadvantages

Re: New dampers - Konis vs new standard Toyota ones

Koni prices went up earlier this year.

You will be lucky to get them under £450. Mine came from DCDesign (affiliate on imoc).

Not sure of price, because i had some Eibach springs at same time, worth a call though.

Re: 4 wheel alignment

Thats the place i used - not impressed. They got all the wheels pointing in the same direction - just. Told me camber was not adjustable on a mk1 ! I used the place in Colwick, they have another, the other side of Nottingham at Basford which is said to be better. Not used them myself so cant comment.

Re: Refurbing brakes...

Sam Before you start pulling the calipers to pieces(can be a messy & time consuming job). A better first step, would be to make sure the calipers aren't seized on their sliders - a comon problem. If they are, just clean and regrease the sliders(do not use copperslip) also check handbrake cables ar...
