Just finished fitting Racelogic TRC

I love it!!!! :D First moring it's been wet in ages too so I've give it a proper going over, my car used to spin in 3rd, now I can launch it at 4K and get up to 4th quicker & safe than before. I'm only running the default settings (I got from Racelogic) with a few tweaks (minimum operting speed)...

Re: Rev 3 ABS ECU Pinouts Please

Worked it out now :D, the BGB says there's about 1K Ohms resistance across the +ve & -ve pins for each wheel sensor. The conector blocks have 2 rows of pins and each wheels +ve & -ve pins are ontop of each other so just work across each connector block with a multimeter & the 4 sets of p...

Rev 3 ABS ECU Pinouts Please

Hi does anyone have the pinouts for a Rev 3 ABS ECU, I need to wire up the signals to my new traction control ECU. The online BGB (for the US Rev 1 seems different to the connectors on my plugs)

Cheers

Re: Please help with Boost Creep issue

Hi Graeme, Cheers bud, yeah Stuart is making me up a new screamer pipe (free flowing) as we speak, he's also gonna open up the output on the wastegate a couple of mill. The old screamer pipe was the most restrictive part of the system, the new one will be slightly bigger & should ease the flow o...

Re: Please help with Boost Creep issue

Hey James, I've had a bit of a development. GTech pointed me towards the Lancer forum where there were a couple of posts on this. Apparently it's caused when people move to a 3" full exhaust system & decat. They put the CAT's back in to remedy the problem. Well I'm not putting my CAT in but...

Please help with Boost Creep issue

I'm need of some help with a boost creep issue I have. I'm running a SC61 turbo & a HKS 40mm wastegate. The wastegate is opening (I tested it before I put it on & it's brand new). It seems to hold 1 BAR (what the spring is rated at) but at higher RPM (6000+) then it starts to creep. I've put...

Re: Overboosting Help

Hi, The MBC is a very simple device. Unscrew the bolt and check the ball moves freely within the MBC. If the MBC was causing the overboost the ball would have to get stuck at the end of the MBC (where the compressor hose connects) thus stopping the actuator seeing any boost. Has the bolt fell out of...

External Wastegate : Help Diagnosing Problem

Hi Chaps, I'm suffering a boost creep issue at the mo, I've taken the wastegate off and want to know if it's broken, I'll explain what I've done. When I apply 25 PSI to the WG the valve fully opens, but there's a constant leak of boost from the upper WG area (where the spring & diaphram are), do...

Sorry to hear that Mark, not what you need after forking out 120 notes.

Make sure you squeeze that pipe again before speaking to them to bring the red mist down then let'em have it

Re: New exhaust manifold/downpipe on (pics)

Hi James, Lol, Yeah it's a funny problem, basically with the EBC turned off the car holds 1 BAR till about 5.5K then it starts to creep up then at about 6.5K it goes nuts. JJ asures me the 45mm wastegate is more than enough to flow any gases the SC61 can produce, so size isn't the issue. So he was t...

Re: New exhaust manifold/downpipe on (pics)

Cheers Jon, yeah the IC pipes totally block the view point off, I'll get some much better ones on Saturday :D I'm lovin' this spoilerless look now :D, it was yours & Marks which persuaded me to give it a try, at first it looked like something was missing, now it looks rather mean from behind :tw...

New exhaust manifold/downpipe on (pics)

Just had a custom exhaust manifold & downpipe made & fitted by AAS (the guys who did MRV6's conversion). The old manifold had a few problems, but this one is fantastic. Only problem is I think it's highlighted a problem ith my external wastegate, the boost is uncontrollable after 6K rpm, aft...

Re: Images of my Chargecooler Project

You're right Jon, faster is not always better in this case. The pump flows 30 lt/min (8 gal/min), which is twice the CD pump, but I reckon my core must be getting on for twice the size of an ST205 anyway. I also read that anywhere between 4 - 7 gal/per was fine for a CC setup, def no more than 10 ga...

Re: Images of my Chargecooler Project

Just received the pump today from the US, it's a Shurflo Aqua Tiger. Came pretty highly regarded on the US boards, I'm sure anyone interested in why I chose it can stick Aqua Tiger in on the US boards and there's loads of reading, anyway here's the pics (that's a Size 9 trainer of mine to compare): ...

Droplinks are gonna be the prime candidates, but could also be ARB bushes, topmounts or the shockers themselves,

Re: Changing springs - Do I need to bleed brakes?

No you don't Ross, I changed my standard suspension to coilovers without bleeding the brakes. It's because there's a brake hose which goes through a metal connection on the strut. If you make a cut on the metal connection you can twist it open and remove the brake hose from the strut allowing you to...
