As far as facts go, normal 5.1 should have about 40C higher boiling point than DOT 4. Anyway, i dont think the brake fluid is the biggest problem, the problem is heat building up in the callipers, they should not get THAT hot. Ok, new SS brake lines mounted, fluid changed and pad isolation added on the piston side. Heading for the track soon so better keep the fingers crossed

Also checked that all slides and pistons moved freely, so it SHOULD work now.

Agree that the original spoiler looks best on the mk1 IMO. There is some aerodynamic analysis done on the effects of the spoiler, seems like there is a theoretical downforce(like <0.5kg), and a theoretically reduced drag, again so little that it as no practical meaning and might just be rounding err...

Could it be the window hitting the sealing clips in the door frame? If so, check that the clips looks normal, and/or adjust the window height down slightly. (Don`t mess with the window settings if you dont have too, it might be quite time consuming to get it right the first times.
