Mines just been tested for hgf mate get a jug of water pull out the pipe from the overflow tank pop it into the jug of water block of the overflow pipe from that one and start the engine (or start it before you put it in... If it starts blowing a lot of bubbles in the jug it's the dreaded hgf :) or ...

Hey I've tried searching but the search engine on here sucks and never brings up anything.. my windscreen washer doesnt appear to be pumping. Where is the unit located and how to I go about testing it? the cars currently off having the head gasket done :-: but when it's back i need to get the other ...

I am with my mk2 im 22 and have my mods dec...
they are only alloys, exhaust and induction and it's £800 fc same as my old astra mk4 sri (that was standard)
p.s they are right bastards, they charged me £80 odd for change of vehicle

well if it's hgf myself and my mate are pretty confident on doing work to cars, is the hg going to be hard to replace? I watched that vid of that bloke with the annoying voice doing on one a tubby with cruise control and it looks like a right pain but then I wont have half that stuff on mine plus I'...

this is rather annoying tbh...I've spend all my money on this pos and it does this... grrrr If its a simple cheap fix I'll be keeping the car for a while, if not it may end up on fire :@

It is over heating and the expansion bottle has been boiling an spraying water/ steam out of the pipe. Also theres a HUGE amount of steamy smoke out of the exhaust as for pressure tests no i haven't I changed the rad /coolant today and it didnt change anything it's also turning the water brown which...

Okay so as you know with the numerous other threads I have a problem Firstly The rad has been changed and is fine.. the thermostat is also fine Now theres a bit of mayo in the cap and a lot of steam out of the exhaust I think it's either hgf or water pump? can anyone tell me of any other tell tell s...

Right I've changed the sparks to nkg iridiums and all seems will so hopefully it was a failed spark and no other probs will arise with that.
Tomorrow I should be able to spend the day either changing the exhaust (if the rest arrives tomorrow) or changing the rad...depends also on the weather aha.

Okay so thermo went in and all was good, it was a little warm due to needing a new rad (bottom half of mine has collapsed new one should be sorted this week) anyway I went to the petrol station today which is 14 miles. didn't give it a hammering but did put my foot down now and again (country roads)...

I've posted a thread up in wanted for an exhaust First off, it's a 91 jap import N/A basically I'm looking for a cat back (decat) stainless exhaust not too loud...any there any recommendations of new ones? of links to sites etc for prices... also The same goes with rad's I need a new one as mines cr...
