Turbo - Lack of boost after changing gear.
I'm experiencing a lack of boost after changing gear on my Rev1 turbo engine, which I thought was due to the wastegate sticking open but now not so sure. I first noticed this last year with the original CT26 turbo when I was at Snetterton. As I lost a few impeller blades I replaced this with a CT20B...

Re: Oil explosion at Thruxton
Sorry, can't help with your issue apart from suggesting the obvious getting under the car with a torch and looking for signs of oil, but i'm interested what suspension you have on your car?
Looks like a good day to be at the track as not too many drivers.

Re: Fuel issue
If it's been sitting that long i think i would be checking for rust in the fuel tank clogging the pump pick up and maybe causing problems with your Walbro pump as well.

LOL, there was no cap there. Looks like somebody has accidently drilled through the ECU

If you change the boost controller and ensure that the maximum boost level is still the same then no need to remap.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] HELP.... No power to starter motor
If you have power to both wires and the starter is not turning, then give the starter a smack with a hammer and see if it starts.
If it does it means the brushes are on their way out.
Just happened to me recently.

Re: Knock sensor code 52
Most Toyota sensors are made by Denso, and there's a good reason for that because Toyota are the principal shareholder in Denso
It would be no issue to use the Denso one IMO as long as it's specified the same.

Are the HT leads connected in the right order?

Re: CT26 vs. CT20 Turbo Support bracket
I'm not happy to go without something long term as I will have a lot of the weight from the exhaust hanging off the turbo, which i don't think is such a good idea.
Will see what i can knock up.

So just for future reference here is a picture of a Rev1 turbo bracket next to a Rev3 one, quite different. http://www.mkivsupraownersclub.com/images/MR2/Turbo%20Brackets.jpg However don't bother trying to fit a Rev3 turbo bracket onto your CT20 on a Rev1 engine as the holes on the engine block are ...

If so have you checked the O2 sensor to see if it's giving the right reading to the ECU?
