Re: Advise on what boost I can run (spec included)
Bit more info, I use Clive Atthowe in Norwich, found him great. When he fitted my unichip, he found that there was enough fuel to run the boost to fuel cut point (Fuelcut/boostcut same thing, fuel cut caused by too much boost) So if you use some boost control, and No fcd, (leave the safety feature I...

Re: Advise on what boost I can run (spec included)
Agree, don't fit a fcd to a rev 3, most people that tell u to own rev 2's that operate differerntly, Limit fuel cut, Limit Fuelling. You should be able to run about 18 psi max with no real fuel cut problems with a rev 3, but I wouldn't run that really with the standard intercooler, about 16-17psi wo...

Re: Here is the lastest info with my tubby's fault...
I'd be checking out the MAP sensor, after all it's output controls the fuelling. There's a test procedure in the BGB, (RM398E page EG106) involving pulling the pipe off the MAP sensor, and measuring it's output at ambient pressure, then applying a vaccum and watching this voltage drop by the correct...

Re: [Mk2 Turbo] Now that i'm hitting engine cut....
Unichips can act as a fcd if required, but I wouldn't worry about that at the moment.Do the cheapest things first Firstly get a accurate boost gauge fitted so you can see whats going on, this is the first essential step. You need to see if you are actually hitting fuel cut, this normally occurs arou...

Re: [Mk2 Turbo] Now that i'm hitting engine cut....
Hi Neil. My setup is similar to you, mongoose, intake etc. Are you not using any sort of boost control at the moment? Grainger/MBC? As everyone say's you're just taking the boost over the fuel cut level, perhaps with a little spike. Some good boost control would stop this, I use a ebc (blitz sbc-id)...

Re: tuning mr2 turbo rev3
Start raising the boost a little, say 2 psi with a cheap grainger valve, do a decat, either by knocking out the stock cat or a downpipe etc.
This is all assuming your tyres/brakes/suspension are in good nick, if not sort them first.

Re: Rev3 Fuel Cut
That's a very good question, I'm not sure it can with the rev 3 ecu as, as Allan says it's the voltage on this that determines fuelling and if this is raised by boost high enough it will cut the fuel, but boost needs fuel so if you clamp it you'll not get enough fuel as I presume 100% fuelling is ju...

Yeah the ARB is way too low, on mine its right up against the metal above, and the pipe goes underneath it.

Re: petrol smell
I had the petrol smell when the tank was above 3/4 full on my mk2 G-ltd, During my turbo conversion, when I dropped the tank to swap the fuel pump, I renewed the gaskets on the pipe connections to the tank, ie pump, fuel sender, and 2 breathers I think. Cheap to do only a couple of quid for all 4. h...

Re: Anyone here chipped an NA?
Hi Don, Get a seconhand unichip, fit it your self (only 7 wires) and have it mapped to your car, will be better than a set chip, you can use it other cars and sell it later on. You will need a version A unichip, the one with the blue label, I have the correct dastek diagrams. if you buy one from ano...

Unfortunatly I dont have the official diagrams for Rev 1 + boost module, but I do have rev 1/2/3 without boost module, and Rev 3 with boost module. You may be able to work it ou...
