Re: when does the ecu use the O2 sensor for fuel control
I thought that on rev 3's it's the MAP sensor that controls fuelling all the time. To confirm this, at idle, pull off the MAP sensor plug, ecu will overfuel like mad and it will probaly stall, and you'll smell fuel from the exhausts. By comparison, unplug the lambda sensor and not much will happen. ...

Re: Old topic of CC installation
I needed to bend the pipe on my rev 3 to get the size of pipe on I needed. I found the best way was to heat the pipe with a plumbers blowtorch and then bend it. I also used a 15mm pipe bender insert thingy to stop the pipe from creasing. And yep I also had to grind off the leg, also remove some hard...

Re: T-ing map sensor or turbo
Adam, I think you're getting confused to which part is the turbo, it ISN'T the silver block in your pictures, that's the intake plenum, the turbo is over the other side of the engine. Pic 3 IS NOT directly into the turbo, it's into the inlet plenum. Jim's correct when he says that a gauge will read ...

Re: [Mk2 NA] Unichip or SAFC or E-manage
I bought a version A unichip, (what u need) off ebay for 55 quid, was from a 200sx I belive, and fitted it myself. Unichips go regulary for under a ton on ebay, you havn't got to buy one that was used b4 on a mr2, the mapper will probaly write a blank map into it first thing anyway! If you can join ...

Re: [Mk2 Turbo] TD06 fitted - uncontrollable boost
Dunno mate, something like a boost leak on the actuator line, or the wastegate catching or not opening correctly? You should still have the protection of fuel cut around 18.5psi, thats if you haven't done anything silly like fit a fcd to a rev3 ? nice turbo anyway, hope u get it sorted soon, lucky b...

Re: Rev1 Ecu pinout diagram?
If you take the lid off the top of the ecu, the pinouts are written on the pcb in silkscreen print. (well is on mine) get a piece of paper and copy down you're own diagram, the benefit being it's exactly correct! I've got all the correct books for mine, but I still had the lid off to confirm! regard...
