Re: AIR CON....HOW THE HELL????

When I replaced my air con compressor, I found that when I removed the idler, it had to be undone and slid down within it's bracket, (both a bolt through it's spindle and then the adjusting thread loosened) the belt was then fitted onto the compressor and crank pulley and the idler bracket 3 bolts f...

Re: Married and Modified ?

Was Married and used to bring up the 'I fancy doing a turbo conversion' conversation that was met with " why'd ya wanna do something like that?" something had to give, so now new girlfriend is completely mod friendly and views it as being my money that I can spend as I wish, because she'll...

Re: DAB/MP3/FM radio

Yep, In my Mr2 I use a Pioneer P series single cd head unit that plays mp3 and wma cd's and controls the Pioneer external DAB tuner, has line out for external amps. In my works motor, I use a Blaupunkt DAB54 head unit, that is a all in one unit, DAB/Mp3/FM etc. BUT, Best buy at the moment and what I...

Re: From NA to a turbo conversion

Do it ! If you can find a suitable write off/rear cut cheap enough? This is mine, done for under a grand. http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/kb.php?mode=article&k=55 I cant understand why you can buy a rev 3 turbo for about 4.5K, yet half a written off one can go for about half that  my 700 qui...

Re: running VERY rich

Sorry no experience on REV 1/2's but if this was on a rev 3 the MAP sensor could be a suspect as its that, that directly determines fuelling, so could the AFM be a problem on yours, as isn't it what's output is directly proportional to fuelling??

justa thought

Re: rev3 pinout queries and some rev1 queries also

Hi Marc, Just had the plugs outa my ecu for ya.. EGR, EVP2, WINJ,RLY,THE,LEV,MIT all are not wired in my loom, no pins in the plugs, so you're 'not needed' thought is correct. CF is wired in plug, but not sure where it goes, Can't help with the rev 1 to rev 2 loom swaps though. Cheers Andys [/u][/b]

Re: Skywalkers flamer on full flame (video)

I use 10mm bike plugs, so a m10 bolt will fill the hole if nessacery, I wouldn't like to drill a 14 or 16mm hole. yep Mongoose and smashed out cat, NE555 osc driving a couple of 2N3055's and a couple of coils/leads and plugs, homemade for under 20quid all in. Re: Whats the difference between Map sensor and Pressure Sensor?

Hi Dave, Getting confused at what your calling a MAP sensor, there isn't one on my charcoal cannister, are you getting confused with a VSV, there's 2 of them, one on the charcoal cannister and one in the stock boost control system. The MAP (Manifold absolute pressure) sensor is the square sensor, (1...

Re: midway through CC install and a few questions! *pic request*

Reservoir is indeed the very small pipe on the cap hole, You should have a small pipe that came off the hard piping to the intercooler, (on the bend nr orig blow off valve) that would have seen post turbo/pre intercooler air. I connected this to the small pipe outlet on 205CC, as this is a feed of c...

Re: Overfueling

Map sensor controls fuelling on Rev 3 turbo's, check pipe to it, wiring etc, Should have +5V supply on 1 pin, gnd on other, 3rd is output, middle I think. It's the voltage out of this little box that controls fuelling due to Manifold pressure, more pressure, more volts, more fuel, but unplug it and ...

Re: ST205 CC

I've wired the level sensor in series with the Rory temp display thermistor. When the level drops, the cct goes open circuit and the temp on the display is replaced with 'L' for low water, 8)
