Tin top owners - any regret over lack of T-Bar?
Hi chaps, I am looking at a pair of turbos this weekend. One is a T-Bar, the other a tin top. I have had four MR2s in the past and all were T-Bars. It was a long time ago that I sold my last one, but I remember really enjoying roof-off motoring. Ideally I would want another T-Bar, but I have noticed...

Re: REV3 NA vs REV5 NA, which would you choose?
So I went to view a REV5 NA this morning. It drove really well on the test drive in the main and felt every bit as special as I had remembered. The driving position remains the best of any car I've ever driven and I had forgotten about how unique the handling feels, as the car feels like it's pivoti...

Re: REV3 NA vs REV5 NA, which would you choose?
Thanks MB - I have looked at Pete's a few times and whilst it looks in lovely condition, the miles are too high for me, whilst the car is about as far geographically from Manchester as is possible given UK geography! I can never quite work out how people look at car like this and say 'too many mile...

Neither it has to be a Turbo or nothing
If I have my way it will be 'both'.

Re: REV3 NA vs REV5 NA, which would you choose?
Having had a modifed 350z in the past..... if I had the cash now to swap, I'd change my rev 3 turbo for a 350z in a flash, no hesitation. Don't get me wrong I love the mr2 to pieces and is a second car for me too, but when comparing to a modern z....... sorry but no comparison. I think you'll be di...

Re: REV3 NA vs REV5 NA, which would you choose?
James I don't think you will be disappointed with the NA at all. I have had several turbos since my NA and still find myself missing the NA sometimes. You can ring the neck out of it without worrying too much, and the linear power is enjoyable. I bet you're going to be chuffed when you finally get ...

Re: REV3 NA vs REV5 NA, which would you choose?
are you sure you want to go back to a car that you had years ago. I had a Cortina v6 years ago and thought it was great but if I drove it today id probably think it was rubbish. if its a second car id get the best which is the turbo. what are you going to do with it . drive it on a sunday . is the ...

Re: REV3 NA vs REV5 NA, which would you choose?
The Rev3 NA doesn't have an EGR valve, and on paper has a a few more horsepower than a Rev4/5. The difference is not noticeable though. Removing the EGR from a Rev4/5 car is easy, should you want to do so. Only difference with the Rev5 interior is the clocks, steering wheel, and gear stick have red...

REV3 NA vs REV5 NA, which would you choose?
Hi guys, I have been on the lookout for a mint REV5 turbo, but yesterday was offered what appears to be a absolutely superb REV3 NA which looks too good to turn down. Having reflected on this I have decided to change direction. The new plan is to enjoy an NA for a bit and then buy another turbo next...

Re: [FINALIZED] GEN 4 3sgte Cosmos blue Rev 5
That meet in the last pic looks familiar. :) 1 day short of 11 months ago. Hopefully the car will stay in our community and not disappear into a void. Another purple tarmac eater is well into its 7th year with me. GLWS. :thumleft: Was a great meet, lovely roads and views. I'm hoping it stays in the...

Red MK2 M-reg, Mancunian Way, Manchester
Spotted a stunning looking MK2 Rev3 NA in bright red, looking very clean and with some nice goodies including 17s, a subtle drop, clear side repeaters and what looked like a sports exhaust on Mancunian Way this afternoon. I was driving the grey Nissan 370Z. You followed me for a while before slowly ...

Re: Red Mk 2's, talk to me....
I had a mint rev5 NA a few years ago in red. It had obviously been well cared for and yet some of the plastics had still aged worse than the metal bodywork. Our red Alfa 156 V6 is the same. Unnoticeable in some lights, but in others the bumpers are clearly a different shade to the rest of the car. A...

Interesting - never encountered that before. Every days a school day.
Still, bodywork was a little more worn than I could have tolerated anyway...
