I played with a lot of different options, the 2nd best was an import number plate mount in the very front middle of the bumper. Everything else looked odd "in my opinion"

Here's mine it's got two bars fitted across the middle section at a slight angle and the number plate taped to them, no cooling issues and no hassle from the local plod

Sounds good only problem I am in America at the moment so won't be back in the UK for a few weeks.
