Re: Stock front wheel studs - length??? Mines mysteriously changed size!
Peter and Dale If you both cant keep this crap off the boards then you are both not welcome. Calling each other names is just downright childish. I suggest you take this elsewhere, or I will forced to take action, and if that means both of you being removed from IMOC then so be it. I have had enoug...

Re: Turbo kit!!
Am I right to think that a small percentage of forged engines crack between cylinders 2 and 3, possibly to do with to high a compression piston, knock and a thin cylinder wall. Nope, it has nothing to do with it being forged or not, 2-3 cylinders can crack on stock pistons. But yes, knock and being...

Re: Turbo kit!!
Someone explain it :) explain what? I cracked a NON turbo block on the water pump area, no modifications at all, stock head bolts. running 158bhp. The cracking is due to it being a thinner cast and then thermal shock... the thermostat/waterpump is right off that corner putting arp's in, backing the...

Re: Turbo kit!!
pistons are the wrong compression, you could run lower boost, but that's the least of your issues... manifold ports wouldn't match up custom turbo oil feed needed custom coolant feeds to the turbo clutch to cope with more power then obviously wiring loom change for ecu, injectors, map sensor etc Jus...

As in an independent/changeable crank sensor. The mr2 doesn't have a crank sensor. Fact.

Re: Won't start after a good run.
Yeah any cracks will play havoc my cars garaged, doesn't even see the rain, but a few years back I had similar issues, in the end I just bought a new coil pack and upon changing it the old one wasn't cracked but the surface between coil and bracket was rusted bad. cleaned the bracket and just put th...

-the mr2 doesn't have a crank sensor -the coil pack IS earthed through the bracket it shares with the ignitor I know you've had the "coil bracket off and ground off any paint for a good earth" but have you had the coil pack actually off of the bracket? the coil earths through the bracket a...

Because he's a compulsive liar mate, he's very very good at it and comes across as believable, if one doesn't know him well.
As per the studs, he prob doesn't even carry them in stock, he's just trying to cover his ar$e for the theft, and his reasoning as to why he didn't need to steal them

The mr2 is great in the snow, I loved driving in it in my old rev5 mica but id just put it in the garage and drive something else, they're old cars, salt and moisture will just rust it out.

Just keep it craig, youll regret it... I know you don't use it much. but its winter!!!! come a few months time when theres dry roads and a bit of sun, you'll be out and about in it. These cars are old, 6 months use out of a year is perfect for them. In fact using it in the other crappy 6 months is m...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] RPM related rattle around the intake
It could be a heat shield or a bracket. theres 2 support brackets from the block to inlet manifold, and im sure theres also a little shield under the manifold too, it could have a hairline crack, loose bolt etc

Re: Scored cam seats
You cant use different cam caps to those that were produced with the cylinder head.
The head/caps are bored as 1 and so are unique.
time to buy a complete cylinder head
