Re: availbilty of `16" tyres

How many miles do you do a year, and does it get used all year round? If you're not doing mega miles, and very little if any in the winter, have a look at the AD08R (now AD08RS) and NS2R. Great dry performance, reasonable wet performance. I do have a full set of Kumho KU31 part worn in those sizes,...

Re: K20/k24 swaps

I think even a fairly stock K20 swap with standard bolt on mods would be decent in an MR2. No doubt you can cheaper for faster, but the K20 is about more than power. K20 swap N/A Elises always feel much faster than there Toyota/Rover supercharged counterparts IMO even if they're less powerful... Jus...

Re: [FINALIZED] Sold

You're probably best taking the tyres off the rims and selling them as pairs on ebay mate. I know they tyres cost a fortune new but I've picked up multiple sets of wheels with nearly new R888Rs and A048R for less than £150 (Mostly ex-racers etc). I know yours are worth wayyyy more than this but you ...

Re: Snetterton 300 - 15th March £75 Open Pit

Oh yeah the K-series seem pretty solid aslong as they're looked after and built properly, problem is finding a K20 that doesn't burn oil in the first place lol.

The HuxRacing MR2 is the nuts! $$$ Though

Re: Snetterton 300 - 15th March £75 Open Pit

As much as I'd love the extra power from the turbo its N/A all day for me, just for the sound and throttle response. If my 3SGE ever dies (doubt it however hard I try!) I might considering doing a 3SGTE swap. I'm a bit of a Honda nut so the idea of a built K20 motor in an SW20 really takes my fancy ...

Re: Snetterton 300 - 15th March £75 Open Pit

Little vid showing how slippy the track was in the morning, theres another vid on my channel when things got a bit more serious with an M3 and MX5 racer.

Was a fantastic day out, MR2 was faultless for the 5th time in row.

Re: Snetterton 300 - 15th March £75 Open Pit

If my car gets through it's MOT this weekend and I can get the time off then sure. Sounds good :thumleft: That is cheap! Don't trust mine enough to do a track day at the moment, so many problems in the past few months. I know the feeling mate, I'm a bit like that everytime I book on a trackday, jus...

Re: Whine- Seemingly from Engine

It will more than likely be the alternator. My current rev5 has been doing it for 2 years, and my old rev2 did it also before it started smoking and failed. I was meant to change it 2 years ago but as my commute is only 1 mile and I have spare cars if it breaks down I've just never got round it. Its...

Is it with Javelin?

Donington Park 31/10/18 with Opentrack

Myself and few friends have booked on for an open pit day at Donington on the 31st Oct if anyone fancies joining or popping along to say hello. The TDO is Opentrack so photography and snacks are included (Coffee & doughnuts FTW!). £149 for the full day which is a bargain for Donington Open Pit :...

Might pop over still for a few PAX laps if I'm free 8)

Looks ace fun! Rare to see that many MR2's on one trackday, I think in the 5-6 years I've done trackdays I've come across one MR2, glad to see that some people actually use them properly (Other than the race series). :thumleft:

Re: mk2 rusted through inner rear wheel arches (front section beside vents)

I'd take it to a few places and get quotes as they vary massively depending on the garage. I had an old Rev2 fail MOT on the same thing a few years ago. It wasn't visible from outside the car but I could put my hand up the wheel arch and into the boot it was that bad lol. And old bloke at the MOT ga...

Blyton Park - Sat 12th May (Lotus-on-track)

I'm at Blyton Park on the 12th of May with the LotusOnTrack guys, theres usually a few Toyotas in attendance if any one local to the track wanted to pop down :thumleft:

Just thought I'd put a post up as I remember last time someone mentioned they lived round the corner.
