Mine already had a stick-on plate when I bought it. Not really fussed about it but I've never been stopped or failed MOT (weirdly) I think some people mount them too high up sometimes and make it more noticeable.

Re: Any one ever tried one of these?
Cheers for the info!
I'm contemplating on drawing something up at work and seeing how much our supplier would charge to knock it up!

Any one ever tried one of these?
Just wondering if anyone has fitted one of these succesfully? http://www.ebay.com/itm/49-SS-SAFETY-SEAT-BELT-HARNESS-CHASSIS-BAR-ROD-IMPREZA-SUPRA-CELICA-MR2-tC-GOLF-/180964421783?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a2251f097&vxp=mtr#ht_4252wt_1186 Looks like a bit of a universal...

Re: Drifting the 2...
- OEM 15" Wheels with hard tyres for learning. - Decent brake setup (balanced nicely) - Strong, healthy engine Best to learn in a low powered car so you actually learn to drift. Way to many people have jap cars with huge turbochargers which easily get the tail out, but IMO you should be able to...

Also, I did think I saw Chris Harris making a pretty handy video for noobs. I know its an FR car but the principles still apply, but be much quicker in your case

Re: Had my first Spin today....... Any Advice?
Whilst I don't approve of messing about with other cars on the road, its a good idea to find a big open space and get used to how your car handles (Preferably a track such as Bedford etc) But on the driving side, I find it easier to learn the dynamics of an MR car in the wet as understeer and overst...

Re: advise on flexi exhaust part needed
Just replaced the entire pipe on here as a member sold me an almost new one for £50 +P. Its worth going to a couple of garages and just asking if they can weld it up etc but mine was totally ******. They said it is possible to cut just the flexi but its quite awkward on our downpipe. Put a wanted ad...

Re: Tyre fitment for 16" Enkei?
Forgot to say my car sits a bit lower than normal as its on Tein Superstreet coilovers. This shouldn't affect the tyre sizes right?

Re: Tyre fitment for 16" Enkei?
Front end grip I guess? My car has been polybushed and corner weighted at TrackDev anyhow so I'm happy with the weight over the front wheels
Think I'm going to purchase these Enkei's then try go with your suggestion!

Re: Tyre fitment for 16" Enkei?
Thanks for both of your replies, Marf that looks like a good setup! I can't remember if I read somewhere about 215 40 16 (7J) front and 225 45 16 (8J) on the MR2, as to raise the rear up which would in turn, put more weight on the front. Is this commonly done? I have a feeling the 17's my car came o...

Tyre fitment for 16" Enkei?
Hi guys, I'm able to get a deal on some Enkei RP01's and I'm just wondering what the best tyre fitment is for handling? They're 16" Front 7J, ET35 (205 50 16) Rear 8J, ET38 (225 50 16) Is this a good wheel offset/stagger for the MR2? tyres on them are brand new, but I didn't think 50 profile al...

Rev2 N/A Slow at slow revs?
Recently picked up a Rev2 N/A off a previous IMOC member, and its been a while since I've driven an N/A but I can't help feel this one is lacking some low down power. I know the car wasn't made with low rev grunt in mind! but compared to my birds Swift Sport the thing seems to take ages to pick up p...

Re: Lowering Springs!
Very interesting differences in drop height here.
When I do mine hopefully next weekend, I'l get a picture from same angle of standard height now, when the APEX springs are fitted, and then after say 250 miles when the springs have bedded in abit.

Re: Lowering Springs!
Ah worrying as mine looks like it sits that low (if not lower ?) already on standard springs :/ But I think my old suspension has pretty much collapsed by now anyway so thats probably the reason why. Also, your car wouldn't happen to be the white one with possibly 16" split rims (BBS fakes?) an...

Re: Lowering Springs!
I should be fitting my 35mm APEX springs with my KYB Excel-G shocks soon so i'l post a before & after picture up then.
Its a standard car, running standard size wheels but they're from a different Toyota vehicle and painted black but obviously gives exact same ride height etc.

Re: Shock Absorbers
Thanks for the quick reply guys !
To be honest the ride comfort doesn't really bother me as I'm used to much stiffer cars but too much stiffness can also compromise handling ! Hence why I'm after the OEM.
Cheers, Alex

Shock Absorbers
Hi, new to owning a MK1 but previously owned Mk2 MR2's.
Just wondering where the best place to pick up OEM or replacement shock absorbers is ?
I'd like to upgrade to coilovers but they seem a bit dear for the standard ebay crap !
Cheers, Alex.
