Silver Mk1b Congleton @ Shell

Saw you this afternoon on the roundabout by Shell \:D/

I saw you in Shell too, but I was in the Cosworth at the time but was on my way home to pick up the MR2, which is when you saw me!

Headlamp not working

My passenger side headlamp isn't lighting up. I changed the bulb and the old one looked fine, and on putting a new one in, it still doesn't light up. What would cause this? Is there anything I can check to see what the problem is? #-o

Re: mr2 turbo Vs. 200sx

This is a stupid debate - they are two different cars designed for different purposes. I've got an S14 for when I want to travel long distances in comfort and speed and an MR2 (Mk1 admittedly, but the design principle is the same) for when I want some fun in the real twisty stuff. I've got a Sapphir...

It may belong to a fellow club member who has put a lot of effort/money into getting it modified, please bare this in mind.

In which case I hope they make themselves known. Then I can know to avoid them :)

Re: Mk1B - Won't start

Tony and Mart - thanks for your help. I managed to get the car running today and I seem to have fixed the problem and it was one of the earth connections as suggested 8) I've been meaning to get round to it for ages but every time I have been motivated to do it the rain has been chucking down ](*,)

The bad earth wouldn't explain the misfiring when cold though would it? Please excuse me if it does - I'm not exactly what you would call technical

Re: Mk1B - Won't start

Thanks for the tips :)

Where is the best place to get leads, rotor arm and distributor cap from - local motor factors or, dare I say it for fear of my wallet imploding through fright, Toyota? :?:

Mk1B - Won't start

Just recently, my MR2 has struggled to start after being left for a few days, and when it did it spluttered and didn't rev too happily until it was warmed up. If it was used regularly, then all was fine. Now it's been left a few more days, it refuses to start at all and just turns over and over with...

Re: [North West MK1 Club] - Sun 26th Aug - Capethorne Hall Classic Show

Good to meet a couple of you today :thumleft: I left at about 2pm, unable to listen to the commentator any longer without the overwhelming desire to rip his face off and hurl it across a few fields. It's a classic car show - at least get someone who knows what a car is to commentate ](*,). My blood ...

Best place to get an exhaust???

Any recommendations - I went to ATS and when the price came up on the computer, the bloke physically stepped away from it while sucking a great dollop of air through his teeth  For a full system, they wanted ~£360

I've got a wanted thread on here, but no joy yet with that :(

This is the only picture I got of any MR2s. I ended up not straying far from the underneath of a gazebo on the SXOC stand all weekend
