Re: FAB 1

Thanks for sharing it, the auction is going well. I like Micras, they are ideal as a banger rally car, dirt cheap, and very fun to drive as you have to work them so hard and they take it as they are so reliable. Checked out the J.P. micra, looks great, would be cool to have a pair with a micra Jeep ...

Re: BEAMS Blacktop conversion for mk2 £200

Opening post updated with pictures. I'll have a hunt around and see if I can find some more from when we did the build, but can take any required pictures people want.

Re: BEAMS Blacktop conversion for mk2 £200

I was intending to fit the timing cover by cutting it down and combining it with a rev 4 cover, if you cut a circular hole for the exhaust pulley to poke out of. I mocked it up when I had the engine on the engine stand. It has a normal mr2 cam belt tensioner setup on it. The beams cam belt is longer...

It does fit, there is a few mm clearance. The intake Vvti is the same size as the red top, and the much bigger exhaust Vvti fits in front of ...

BEAMS Blacktop conversion for mk2 £200

I have decided to sell my beams blacktop conversion as I have not finished it as I have too many projects. It is a manual beams blacktop engine 210bhp, dual Vvti. It is mounted in a shell that is not much use, but great as a test bed. (I am cutting this shell up now so it will just be a half cut of ...

Number 17851 in this diagram is what you need. Covers the gearbox mount and the torque bar bolts to it.

Re: ARC induction box fitting issues

You are missing the metal plate that the standard airbox mounts too. It also holds the torque reaction bar thing with the balljoint on the end.

Re: Rev 2 n/a gearbox to Rev 3 engine

Yes it will fit, and it has lower final drive ratio (quicker acceleration, more rpm on motorway cruise). I think the gear ratios are the same though.

Re: Hoagy5's MR2 story - so far!

So haven't posted for a while, fixed the S13 and went drifting, and have been changing the engine in the E30. Today ceejay from on here came up and we got some HSD mono pro's fitted ready for Japfest. Its a very tidy Rev 5 and made me think 'I need a daily MR2 again' especially following it down the...

Re: Driving to a track....car breaks down, how to get home?

But if I booked a test day I would have to show my MSA liscence and would be allowed to put my timing beacon on the pit wall :? This may be a 'print out the AA rules and keep in the car' job i think... The other way round it is get independent breakdown cover. Mind you, if you tow your vehicle to th...

Re: Driving to a track....car breaks down, how to get home?

takman in your quote surely that says a trackday or test day is ok as long as you have a road legal vehicle. They don't like competition events but I have been recovered from Santa Pod drag strip with broken driveshaft before and have thought the AA would cover me for track days etc (been relying on...

Re: Hoagy5's MR2 story - so far!

So I didn't realise the not had run out on the S13 until I went to tax it. Pit it in, failed on front wings loose, n/s track rod end and a few patches of welding. Not bad for a years drifting. Still, needed a car for work, so picked up this: http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n238/hoagy5/IMG_5703524...

Re: Hoagy5's MR2 story - so far!

She had one of the better lives any 3SFE had for sure! Made the intake bracket: http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n238/hoagy5/MR2/IMG_20131128_210747_287.jpg And sprayed it a nice MAN truck bumper grey. http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n238/hoagy5/MR2/IMG_20131129_171103_195.jpg Need a rear and p...
