Re: induction kit help
gettin mixed opinions. i dont wanna spend like 100quid on an induction when ive heard that these can do just the same job. what do you recommend then for the cheapest 'branded' induction kit? If you don't want to spend money making sure you get clean air in your engine - don't bother fitting an ind...

Halfords have two sizes listed for both air and oil filters. But can't confirm whether this is the actual case or not. It also does not mention anything to specific age on their database - just 84 - 89

Re: I Need Help on Parts To Get Through My MOT
Bulbs can be supplied by Halfords. Best thing to do is take an old bulb with you as the guides are sometimes wrong. Halfords also do stick-on glass for wing mirrors, but it's worth giving them a day to source one for you if they don't have stock on the shelf. They're not that expensive either (IIRC).

Re: Excessive Fuel Smell in Cabin - Solution
I tell you what, why doesn't a moderater delete this entire thread? With regards to people not knowing better than the designers: Why then do so many owners "modify" and make "improvements" to their cars and slate MrT's short falls so frequently? I was trying to help based on inf...

Re: Excessive Fuel Smell in Cabin - Solution
Sorry forgot to update the post  I have replaced the breather valve and the fumes are a lot less. There is still quite a heavy fuel smell though, but I think the car is overfueling as well - 180 miles on a full tank is not good. It's booked in for a major service tomorrow morning so hopefully ...

The new Corolla T-Sport is meant to loads of fun and there are constant arguments on the corolla forums about which is better CTR (Civic) or CTS (Corolla).
The Corolla has this amazing thing refered to as "Lift" when the VVTLi kicks in
Worth a test drive to compare to the CTR

Used to be a prossional live sound engineer (touring, arena's, festivals etc...). but had to kick it in due to being sick of living out a suitcase 11 months out of 12. Now a sales consultant for a sensor manufacturer, supplying sensors for automated and robotic machinery used in automotive assembly,...

My MKI is getting a major service this week and if all turns out tickety-boo, and I can get the day off work, I'll be there.

Re: IMOC Trackday- Sat 3rd September @ Elvington
Hi Garrick, There are 36 places at Elv, so really its a matter of paying up before it fills. What you can do is book provisionally then pay 50% (£50) this will confirm your place and you can settle up the rest a bit nearer the time if it suits you. Whoo hoo  Sounds like a brilliant way of ...

Re: MK1a - Oil spotted where it shouldn't be
Take ALL the breather pipes off, not just that one, and clean them all through with petrol, thinners or similar, making sure they are free of blockages. Obviously do it one at a time, so you know where they go back ! That was going to be my next port of call :thumright: Drop the oil and repla...

May be well interested in this event as I couldn't stump up the 99 notes for the TOC one - besides I don't think the MKI will be track ready for the TOC/IMOC event.
When do you need to know by Lauren? How many track passes will be available?

Re: IMOC stickers!
Just found the two IMOC stickers that I bought from Gemma a couple of years ago at JAE. I pulled them off my Rev3 when it got sold and stuck them on the window of the door leading to our back yard. Saw them yesterday when I went out to mow the lawn 8) BTW, anyone know what's happened to Gemma? I las...

Re: MK1a - Oil spotted where it shouldn't be
Bad news. The oil is back in the air intake pipe :? In fact it's dripping out the end of the induction filter now :? The oil level on the dipstick is still a tad high (about 1mm above maximum mark). The only way I can think of oil getting into the air intake pipe is through the hose connecting the t...

Re: Locking wheel nuts
If you have the standard 15" alloys MrT should have been able to help, but still probably would have fleeced you on price. As someone mentioned above Halfords do a range for standard and aftermarket alloys for around £30 - But so far I'm not overly impressed with the quality (just a visual thin...

MKI BGB
MKI BGB on ebay. Quite a few of them (CD-ROM's) going for between £2.00 and £10.00. Is it worth it? I know a couple of years a go I got a copy for my MKII from another IMOC/MR2OC member for postage and CD costs only. Is there a member that is doing the same? Lauren, I know your b/f has something in ...
