My 1a track car had a high bite on the clutch when I first got it. During a recent engine swap I figured I may as well replace it with a new clutch.

It wasn't needed, but done nonetheless as I had the part. It still bites fairly high.

When it was slipping, could you smell it?

Looking through my receipts the current droplinks on my track car are apparently Toyota OEM from TCB. 7 month hard track use and they're still good

It is a straight fit, but you may need a suitable (AW11) gearbox if the engine/box is sourced from a Corolla. You'll also need the wiring loom & ECU as well as "customise" the cooling pipes and expansion bottle. I think the cooling pipes/expansion bottle from the Corolla could be used....
