Re: Repair or replace buckled wheel?
Thanks for the replies, good to know roughly what I should pay. And I'll shoot them an e-mail Jake thanks. Gazza, I've seen someone else post about the Gab sports on here. They are similar. There's not much stamped on these, here's a photo. http://s13.postimg.org/coffvc56b/WP_20151231_01_04_05_Pro_1...

Re: Repair or replace buckled wheel?
Yeah I read that elsewhere, do you know how drastically it affects the strength of the wheel? I know I'll struggle to find them, there's not really any markings on them. There's a "T's" on the front centre, and a "made in japan" stamp on the back of the centre, but that's about i...

Repair or replace buckled wheel?
Hello forum dwellers, I got a set of alloys refurbished this year. They're 15 inch, relatively light and I really like them! But when the wheel shop put the tyre's on we discovered one was badly buckled. I've been driving on it since while I decide what to do, thankfully its on the back so you can't...

Re: Charging circuit warning lights
Investigated today and it turns out the belt is gone!
Must have either snapped or the tensioner has worked loose and the belt has just came off. Either way an easy fix, especially as I have a spare belt!
Happy days, thanks for the replies people.

Re: Charging circuit warning lights
Yeah I'm Gonne out the tester on it soon. Was curious as to whether or not a loose belt would through a charging fault coz its not driving the alternator properly?

Charging circuit warning lights
Hi all,
I just got 3 dash lights come on while driving this afternoon. The battery, cat temp and engine bay fan lights. Am I right in saying this is a fault in the charging circuit? If so, could this be related to the fact I've had a squeeky belt for the past 6 weeks or so?
Faaaaanks!

Royal steering wheels can replace the leather and stitching to your choosing for £120 delivered. I cant vouch for his work yet but I'm hopefully getting him to do mine soon.

Re: New Gear knob - Looking for recommendations
I've had a Trd ball knob and don't like it to be honest, its a lot smaller than Standard. You're welcome to it for a Tenner if you fancy. I've now got a standard knob recovered by Rhon and its great, feels and looks the business! I actually got the knob, gear gaiter and handbrake gaiter done for I t...

Looks sweet!
I just had mine redone by Rhon, also got a new gear gaiter and handbrake gaiter. Just saving up to get my wheel done and ill be happy. Makes a great difference to the feel of the car while driving!

Re: Alternator super seized, do I need to drop the subframe????
That is quite a pickle! I hate the everything about the alternators on these cars, squeaking etc.
Anyhoo, I would imagine you will have to remove either the crossmember, the driveshaft, or the exhaust mid section.
Its hard to get the alternator out without the bracket! Good luck with!

Sounds good. Is the Dukes Pass the road from Aberfoyle to Callander?
Also I just realised you had posted on the Facebook page, not the best response right enough

I see, why wouldn't they like an adhesive mount? Just in case it flies off?
It does all depend on what kinda camera you have too.

Hi Peter, it looks like your links aren't working right. First one took me to Bray in Ireland. Second gave an error page. I would be up for this though. It would be worth joining and posting on the Mr2 Scotland Owners Club Facebook page. There's a good few owners on there who are keen on meets and r...

Re: MR2 Specialist in Glasgow
There isn't a specialist in Glasgow sadly. At least not that I've heard of. I'm sure there's a guy near Edinburgh who gets recommended but I've never used him and again I don't think he was specifically an MR2 specialist. I've seen Chizfab do some good work on MR2's and others. Also might be worth c...

Re: Mounting camera on /in the CD storage box
I mounted my GoPro with the adhesive mount on the plastic trim behind the cubby box. So you can flip it front or back. I think mounting inside the cubby would be too low.

Thanks for all the replies people. Rob that wheel is gorgeous! Really caught my eye. Red that wheel is ridiculous! In a good way obviously :D Thanks for sharing experience Cal, appreciate it. Anyone have experience using the Royal steering wheel re-trimmers? Heard good things but they're at least £1...

Best Steering Wheel?
Hey all, I realise that's a bit of a rubbish/generic title so apologies. I currently have a Momo Corse 350mm leather wheel, which I really like! But it's very worn and really needs seeing to. I looked at getting a re-trim but it would be as costly to just buy a new wheel. So, anyone have a wheel the...
