Re: what sort of temperatures should i see on my c/c temp gauge

Well in the end i went with the same sensor i used for the air temp. it's a sensor for fish tanks that samples every 10 seconds. It also allows for low or high temp alarms. I had to snip the wire and reconnect it once threaded through the overflow but apart from that it is very straightforward. Nice...

Re: what sort of temperatures should i see on my c/c temp gauge

cheers Rory checked out the how to but i have no soldering iron or skills to go with it #-o . Realised i have put the sensor in a positionto test air temp so i will do something similar on the water temp tomorrow - found maplins do a kit that does second by second refresh for about a tenner as well ...

Re: what sort of temperatures should i see on my c/c temp gauge

cheers rory i used a temp sensor from maplins that comes all set up - only problem was the probe was a bit fat to go in the overflow so i put it in the pipe that is blocked off near the sock adaptor. Might get another one and cut the probe off, affix a new smaller one and monitor from the overflow a...

what sort of temperatures should i see on my c/c temp gauge

Just installed a temerature gauge set up for my chargecooler but can anyone confirm what they are getting as readings so i can see if i have done it correctly. From what i can see all is well and as i set off on the move the temps drop rapidly and then once switched off they come back up again. Just...

Re: finally it lives again!!! thanks 3s

Well sorry i took so long to get back to you all - been putting a temp sensor in the chargecooler. the company was Sheppards in Baddow near Chelmsford - they specialise in building high powered Cosworths and the suchlike. When James said dirty it was a bit of an understatement - there was visable bi...

Re: HKS Air filter

Try Jase at MTTE - think the hks filter is the super power flow or something similar - try for a yellow or blue filter as there have been stories of the green filter drying up and breaking up causing damage.

Re: [Mk2 Turbo] Tyre sizes ?

F1's will do the job :thumright: apparently they are really good and give a good balance between wet and dry conditions. I was just looking at getting a set for mine. As for the front are they so3's? if so they come highly recommended by many on here
