Re: Towing - transmission damage
I JB Welded the block in 2005, after HG failure, gas into coolent passage @ 103,000 miles (cheap-ass gasket kit), no skim. A Spark plug in no4 broke up inside the cylinder (porcelain chips everywhere) and nearly took out the big ends, in 2006 @ 113,000 miles, the HG blew as a result into the coolant...

I need to tow the car for about 4 miles to get it home, I bought one of those towing poles. Is it safe to tow these cars...

Re: Idle control problem - help needed
My sc cold idles at around 1200-1300 for a couple of minutes, I usually put the heater on cold and it warms up alot faster, guess it has less water to circulate and heat up intially with heater on cold.

The main reason was, at traffic lights your usual spotty chav in his gtiRtypeVtiXRturbowrx4x4sparcorsDemontweeksEvobridescoobyr32quattrocorsamong mobile will always try to race you. The very same people tend also to drive 1ft away from your back...

I'd drive it if it had 2000hp but only whilst wearing a burka.

Re: Draining coolant and changing water pump.
I think the most important part of a coolant change is to measure what has been drained in litres before you refil. It gives you an immediate indication that you have not satisfactorily refilled.
