Re: Fidanza insert

Not something that you could really put a timescale on. It would depend on how often the car was used, style of driving, clutch friction material, all motorway or all local miles etc etc etc. You'd be better off getting the allowable wear tolerances from fidanza, Mic the thickness of the plate and g...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] PWR chargecooler installation

Mine won't fit in place of the 205 cooler, its way too big. Only place it'll go is in the boot. Got to work out where its going so I can order all new hoses to suit it.

[Mk2] [Turbo] PWR chargecooler installation

Has anyone here got a pwr chargecooler on their 2? I've just picked up one to replace my st205 unit and am after some installation pictures. It'll have to go in the boot as its too large for the engine bay, just want some ideas before I start chopping the car!
Thanks

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Nitrous injection

I've got a won setup here I don't use anymore, direct port, maximiser controller, 3 11lb bottles, bottle heater, pressure gauge. Think that's all! Also a full dealer set of jets for the pulsoids.
When I last used it my car ran 12.1sec 1/4 mile @ 125mph.
Send me a pm if you're interested?

Re: Forged rebuild street mr2

I had 391bhp as Steve said, but was a 3076 on it. Drove really well, no noticable lag either.

No. It's bolted on the turbo lid, and an integral part of the na one.

If its a rev4 shouldn't it have the indicator repeaters in the front wings?

Re: piper cams

I've got the 260's in my engine, showed 391bhp at flywheel, limited by the st205 charge cooler. I always meant to try a different cooler but blew the engine last march and still can't be bothered to put it back together, got all parts ready on my workbench as well! I never tried any other makes or s...

Re: Home clutch change edit: MR2 specialists for clutch change in scotland?

Crank oil seal could be leaking, or the clutch could just be shot due to normal wear and tear. May have missed it in your posts but clutch alignment tool makes life easier as well for reassembly. It's not a hard job, easier on Tue na simply due to the lighter gearbox, less weight to move around! Goo...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Bootmount vs Chargecooler

I had 391bhp out of mine running a st205 chargecooler. Couldnt get any more out of it with a Gt3076, 800cc injectors etc etc.
Did feel very quick on the road though, not sure much more is really useable.

wrong buyer in my finalised sale ad

Somehow I've put the wrong member name in a sale ad that I closed today. How can I change it?

Thanks.

Re: Is this hydraulic puller suitable....

That kit is switchable between two and three leg setup. They work well but it can be a struggle to get them on some smaller diameter items. You should be ok with a standard set of pullers.

Re: What are my options?

You could try pressure testing the system, I had a leak on mine so knocked up an adaptor that I could fit into the coolant hose. Pressurized it with a bike pump, was enough to find a faulty hose under the car.
