Hi,
I checked the resistance of my ht leads today using a multimeter on the 20k ohms setting.
All four wires from the distributor to the engine read between 1.98 and 2.0 regardless of length.
The king lead from coil to distributor was 0.98
Are these readings good or what should they be??
Thanks.

Coolant overflow pipes
Hi, I'm going to be accused of spamming this section shortly... lol I noticed where the coolant overflows at there's two pipes. One of them is just left open and not plumbed anywhere. Is that what it's supposed to look like? http://i1357.photobucket.com/albums/q751/calebc71/20170524_194021_zpsu8jzdr...

Misfire Update - clicking noise with video HELP
Hi guys, I changed all the spark plugs and this didnt clear the misfire. However when listening closer to the noise i can hear an intermitent clicking noise. It's coming from around the inlet manifold and distributor area. Could be issues with the distributor and rotor arm maybe or the spark arcing ...

Re: Plugs
Rev 5 Turbo here spark plugs Denso IK22 colder than the standard Denso IK20 both iridium and both gapped correctly new, not advisable to mess with gaps on iridium plugs. If you apply copperslip anti seize compound on threads only back off torque by 20% standard torque 13ft-lbs (18Nm). Thanks for th...

Re: Help with bkr7eix spark plugs!
Would it be a stupid idea to check the gap on the old plug?
I know its been in for a while and I spose that may of affected its gap

Re: Help with bkr7eix spark plugs!
Maybe gap them to 0.75 just in case there's more boost.
I know just has the stock gauge...
Really I bought this as a project as it's a genuine rev5 turbo and deserves to get back on its feet. So I'm going to install gauges and stuff in time and get a hand controller for the power fc

Help with bkr7eix spark plugs!
Hi guys, I recently bought a guy I knows rev5 turbo. It was misfiring so I made sure to compression check it first and all was good. He told me he changed 3 of the 4 spark plugs, all but the one under the intake manifold. This was the first thing I checked and after going over it with a multimeter i...

Misfire diagnosis thoughts needed!
Hey, I'm interested in what you all think could be the cause of this misfire. It's a guy I knows rev5 turbo. So the car has been sat up for a few months and apparently ran good before then. Recently he changed three of the four spark plugs because one of them is hard to get too....... I know ridicul...

Sort of like the 5sfe bottom then!
Is there a way of telling if it is one of those blocks??
Any stamps or serial numbers?

Do genuine rev5 turbos have thicker blocks?
Hi guys,
Read it on a sale thread, do all rev 5 turbos have thicker bottom ends than the others? Is this the gen4 3sgte seen in caldinas?
Also is there any way to tell the difference between between the engines to tell if you have the thicker block?
Thanks

Re: Sourcing 98+ 5sfe block - very easy or something I'm missing?
I seen a 5sfe block on eBay a week or two ago for 500.
Had a look there and it must be gone.
There's a whole car for 550 near me granted it high mileage but they kept it serviced and if you just wanted the block might be alright! You'd have to bring it from Northern Ireland though....

I thought the same.
Are the 6 studs the same pattern as the 7 stud minus the obvious extra stud?
