Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Oil Leak :(
if its coming down the passenger side of the engine, does the leak appear above the gearbox? if so it could also be the distributor oil seal as these have a tendancy to harden over time leading to leaks.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Can I mix oils?
are you sure that the millers 10w40 is a fully synthetic? The reason I ask is because I have never seen a 10w40 fully synthetic only 5w and below.
If it is then it is not really ideal to mix types/grades of oil.

nah agree with Leeroy white smoke is normally an indication of HG failure especially when the engine is warm.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Any harm in disconnecting the carbon canister???!
the canister is a filter for fuel vapour, by removing it you may allow contaminants into the fuel tank, the canister is there to allow the fuel vapours to escape the tank without a build up of pressure.
TBH there are few things on a 2 that Mr T put there without a reason.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Unichip reliability?
I would imagine that the chip is only as reliable as the mapping and engine components, if you get a c**p map and run lean then melted pistons here we come, but like wise if there is a weakened component in the engine and you are pushing it well it will most probably break.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] BIG PROBLEM WITH MY TURBO CONVERSION PLEASE HELP ME GUYS
Oil light comes on in ORANGE but oil is topped up Unless you have swapped the sump off your n/a engine onto the tubby engine (not even sure if this is possible) your oil level light will be on as there is no sensor or sensor port in an import sump, the oil level warning light is only a feature of a...

please take a look at MR2OC
I think it is just a case of a dodgy batch which is unfortunate for all of us, at least we are being offered a further £5 discount for the delay.

Just got a reply on MR2OC where I posted the same question, apparently its me being a bit of a plant in that Mr T never fitted a support bearing to a n/a.
