Re: Black limited or just black
To be fair it would not be easy to build a replica. It would cost a fortune to do for very little return in value at the end of it. That's why I guess it hasn't happened. Spot on! :thumleft: I looked at this VERY seriously about 6 years ago and ditched the idea for EXACTLY this reason...!

Re: Mk3 Roadster 3.0L V6 (1MZ-FE) (SOLD)
If your interested I'd still be up for a swap for my is200, might be easier to sell on? 8) :D I doubt that: there's about 50 '200's on Pistonheads currently: between £1500 and £3.5k...... ...and zero Mk3 V6's..! I WILL swap (straight, no cash either way!) however, for a '05-on Corolla T-spor...

Re: WET HEADLINING..... NOT ANYMORE !!!
Yes, no and yes..! I totally removed the black part, undid the nuts and removed the broken stud mounts from their locations. After drilling the holes in each end, I bolted them to the black section with machine screws: iirc, I had to file them down to around 4mm in length to get them in properly...I...

Final reduction.......!
Only £3600 (without hardtop, etc...!)
(That won't even cover the cost of getting your EXISTING Mk3 converted to a V6...!! )
C'mon...summer's on the way.....!

Re: WET HEADLINING..... NOT ANYMORE !!!
Yes, Peter. The channel that is welded to the front/rear of the roof has the 3 (or 4?) holes for the M6 (?) studs that bolt the black outside piece onto the channel. They're accessed from underneath by removing the headlining. All but one of mine had failed at the welds (2 on each bracket / stud). J...

Re: WET HEADLINING..... NOT ANYMORE !!!
Just read through this....! Now when I did mine (bear in mind its about 7 years ago since I had my T-bar! :D ), I had the same problem with the studded sections rusting away from the t bar panel. (got fed up with getting a lapful of dirty water every time I turned left! ) What I did (i...

Re: Cold air intake
Driving in a rainstorm, what happens to all the water that gets swallowed by a huge roof vent like that :?: Peter I think the roof scoops are intended for ducting air to an intercooler, rather than induction...? (certainly in the case of the RS200). ...so any rain going through is a huge bonus! :D ...

 I simply cannot believe that Toni's T/C is STILL not finished.......!? :? Its getting on for a DECADE now, surely...!?!??!? What valid excuses can justify the delays? Re: MK3 wheels ?
What colour is your car..? Post-2003 roadsters have 15" front / 16" rears: you can fit this size to a pre 2003, too....(pre's have 15" all round, but the rears are 1/2" wider than the fronts. A lot reckon that unless you run the correct (185 front / 205 rear) tyre stagger, you'll...

Re: MK3 wheels ?
Can I first ask why you're changing the wheels..? Are they corroded / flaking lacquer? Or is it just for cosmetics...? :D Reason I ask is that I've been down this road, and after a little research a few things became clear: The OEM wheels only weigh around 6.5kg: almost all the Halfords / online all...

Re: Electric Aerial Problem Possible Relay?
Does the aerial go up ok but not down? When its retracting, give it a push to start it off: does it then retract properly? If it retracts fully, then it MAY be that the nylon cord has detached itself from the top section of the aerial...... This typically has (in my experience) occurred with the Eba...
