Re: [Mk2 Rev 3 turbo] Engine Warning Light, but no ecu fault codes

I have just checked all the boot and frunk fuses are ok. Did not check the footwell fuses as all the associated electrics are working. I cant find anything lose in the engine bay or under the bonnet. Started the engine again... and gently revved it a couple of 100 rpm and this flashed the engine war...

Re: About to try the sealant T-Bar fix!

Before using sealant have you tried any of the products that expand the rubber? There used to be some good stuff for this from the usual auto factors shops that isnt available any more. This year I started to use 3-In-1 Silicone Lubricant spray (can label says ok for car rubbers and window seals!) a...

[Mk2 Rev 3 turbo] Engine Warning Light, but no ecu fault codes

Hi Driving out my garage last night the Engine Warning Light started flickering under load but not when idling. Just before this occurred there was a very loud squeel from the back which I think is a binding brake. The squeel is not there when the car is not moving. There is some run out on one of t...

I hope to be there

(but given how much mayhem the last bit of snow and ice caused on the local roads I might have to give this one a miss)

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Rev 3 turbo suspension springs question

I have some pics which I need to work out how to post here... probably wont have time to work that out til Tuesday night. Years ago I had a front shock that started leaking and failed an mot. Took nearly a month to get a replacement. The car ride height looked equal all round as I took it to the rep...

Re: Would Toyota make another MR2 turbo if there was enough interest?

lol... but they must see there is a gap in the market for a fun car rather than a boring nanny state drive at 20mph everywhere sort of car or they wouldnt be trying to develop something fun with Subaru.... I was just wondering if we could sway the styling and power more towards the mr2 turbo which I...

Would Toyota make another MR2 turbo if there was enough interest?

A while back I was thinking about what I might eventually replace my mk2 rev3 tubby with. (I dont really want to as I like the shape and performance so much, but they are getting old and wont last forever). There is not a lot out there to compete with it on the road in terms of looks and performance...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Rev 3 turbo suspension springs question

Intermittently I have a weird spring-type noise from a back corner of my car as if a spring is fouling something. Its usually speed bumps that set it off (and I usually avoid speed bumps) although it has happened once on a very twisty country road as the car would be trying not to roll from side to ...

Re: How much petrol once the light comes on?

in both of mine the light comes on around 40 litres used, so approx 15 litres left in the tank. i've done 70 motorway miles with the light on, managed to get 54 litres in when i filled up, so i had 1 litre left  The light comes on about 40-42 ltrs used on my rev3 turbo. I think its a 55 ltr ta...

Re: RudeCar.co.uk - anyone used them?

Strangely their website doesnt give an address on the contact us page.
I think the landline STD code is Surrey/Berkshire near the M3 as I know people with that dial code.
There is a Directions link on the car sales part of the website which says they are on 3 sites between M3 J3 and M4 J10...

RudeCar.co.uk - anyone used them?

Hi

I was waiting at a railway crossing behind a car with RudeCar.co.uk on the back. I thought the paint job on it looked really nice from that distance.

Has anyone any experience of RudeCar.co.uk for car resprays or ICE ?

cheers

Re: What BHP are CT20b's good for??

IMO the ct20b on my car was getting pretty tired so I bit the bullet and decided to change it before it failed. Had about 120,000 miles on the clock. Dont know if it was the orginal turbo, but the car had 40,000 miles on the clock when I got it. (tacho is still in km and I did the miles conversion)....

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Fensport Stage 3 Ct26 hybrid vs ct20b

How about this hybrid http://www.turbotechnics.com/docs/turbo/hybrid.htm ? They list two options for an MR2. Stage 1 http://www.turbotechnics.com/docs/turbo/s148-1.htm Stage 2 http://www.turbotechnics.com/docs/turbo/s175.htm Their ct26 Stage 1 spec looks very similar to the Fensport ct26 Stage 3. :?...

Re: Rev 3 tubby...gear changing query

Mine was like that... changed the gear oil a couple of times helped for a while. What made the biggest difference was fitting a new clutch. Dont know why but it felt like a new gear box!

Re: Bilsteins

Hi Nick I would be interested to hear how this pans out. The last time I researched it a few years ago, Bilstein's liability for a defective shock absorber is limited to replacement of shock with a new or reconditioned Bilstein shock absorber. They exclude the labour charge and some other stuff. I h...

Re: Allignment advice needed asap please

Hi I couldnt find the latest alignment... I think the sheet is still in the car which is away at the moment. I found the previous alignment.... Re: Allignment advice needed asap please

I dont remember the exact cost as I only get it done when I get the tyres changed - surprisingly not that often considering my tubby is my daily drive. Good alignment also makes the tyres last longer. Its about 20-25 quid. I should still have the figures as my last tyre change was about January. I w...

Re: Allignment advice needed asap please

I get mine done at micheldever tyres and not had a problem with the alignment. Not sure if I still have a printout of the alignment settings.
