I had the same problem & it eventually gave up at santa pod & started crunching every time I went from 3rd to 4th. It's a rebuild I'm afraid 4th gear synchro needs replacing, or get a rev 3 gearbox as it has stronger sychro's in the first place. I'm sure Peter can sort you out with a refurb ...

There a small hole behind each seat they have rubber bungs in originally, it looks like one of them to me. My car is completely stripped out other than the seats & I pushed the bungs out so they act like drainage holes for any water that was sloshing about on the floor

The dump valve won't go off properly if there's not enough boost to open it. Does the car idle ok? could be a vacuum hose or even a leaking dump valve I had the latter with a cheepo ebay ssqv so binned it

I just siliconed my roof on never take it off anyway and not a single drip comes in. To be fair tho I have not carpets & have removed the bungs out the floor under the seats so didn't fill the car up with water at least now I can pressure wash the inside

As above try switching on heated rear screen maybe use electric windows see if the revs move about could point to load on the alternator

Managed to pick up a rev 3 tubby box with 66k miles locally for £150 bloke even threw the drive shafts in now that's what I call lucky

Do it properly do it once thats my motto but dependant on what wrong maybe cheaper to get a box from rogue. Superb Bob will get back to you if or when I need it. Jim changed the clutch less than 5000 miles ago & was filled with MT90 then & the car gets a lot of abuse, track days, drag racing etc so I'd rather just fix it than cover it up as I'd be gutted for it to let go completely when I needed i...

As above really got a slight crunch into 4th gets worse above 3000 rpm it doesn't pop out once it's in & runs silently apart from that but having had a look though numerous Google pages read that the 4th gear synchro was no longer available. Oh yeah it's a rev 2 turbo lsd box thanks in adavance
