Re: What oil to use ? Spark Plugs?Air Filter Brand and Fuel Filter?

Is it a relatively standard turbo? 16/17 psi isn't stock boost, have you got an aftermarket gauge?

Oil filter, most people will recomend oem toyota. I've had no problem with MAHLE/MANN ones.

Oil, it depends on how cold it gets there! I'd alway go with a fully synthetic though.

Nice shots! I seriously want that completely standard 180SX. Mainly to mod the xxxx out of it completely and ruin it haha.

Re: CT20B Rebuild

It just seems like the exception rather than the rule though.

Saying that I've got a Blitz based CT turbo on mine and apparently that made around 400bhp.

Re: Fuel pump

I wouldn't buy a no name replacement part for something like a fuel pump just because of the difficulty of getting it back out if it's no good. Either go with an oem toyota pump, or if you can find the denso branded version which will be pretty much the same thing anyway. Edit: here is the denso ver...

Re: CT20B Rebuild

TurboTechnics in essex should be able to rebuild it, also Fensport do them.

Not sure if you'll get much more power out of a hybrid ct20 though

Cusco make em, I think.....

https://www.cusco.co.jp/search/en/index ... y=susparts

Edit: oh wait never mind you were talking about engine mounts. I think you can still get oem toyota engine mounts anyway.

Re: How to make the car less crashy??

I'm just thinking how much toyota will try to charge me for a new suspension arm.

I wonder if they make new uprights still, or if you can buy em.

Re: How to make the car less crashy??

I mean it's not like you can buy the oem bushings anymore, or at least I don't think anyones bothered to try.

I kinda wish I'd bought the full TRD bush kit for these cars when it was still available.

Re: How to make the car less crashy??

You'll need a set of shock housings for the konis which is the biggest issue with them. The billstein ones wont work because they don't have a hex head at the base of the shock. Best bet is to find some of a uk car being broken, or someone selling some knackered uk shocks. Well unless koni have chan...

Yeah the tein springs are meant to be pretty damn bad, there was a time when so many people bought em though.

Re: How to make the car less crashy??

I mean the dampers can work fine off the car and still be crashy. The konis I pulled off my old car seemed fine but you could definitely tell that the damping wasn't what it was

Re: How to make the car less crashy??

It might also be the springrates on the apex springs not being matched well to the dampers. The black billstiens aren't that bad paired with a normal spring. Might be worth just swapping to some Eibach springs, or the softer H&R's. There are some resonable rate japanese springs like Tanabe if th...

Re: How to make the car less crashy??

What are you running at the moment? UK spec suspension is the most comfy, but It's not designed with the heavier turbo engine in mind. The damping is designed around the lighter weight NA cars. The best ride I had in a turbo was koni inserts with trd springs and topmounts + sways. Only problem is th...

Well also the fact that caster isn't adjustable unless he's got aftermarket tension rods. Or a rev1 with the different front arm setup

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Wheel alignment issue

Don't think I've ever had an alignment place do it in mm for me haha, so that could be why it looks completely off.

But the camber figures on yours look like there in degrees I dunno 🤔

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Wheel alignment issue

I'm assuming it feels like crap to drive in the dry because R888's are hardly a good tyre in the wet.

Take a picture of the alignment on yer phone and you can upload it to imgur from the website on phone or just download the imgur app. This will give a link that you can share.

Re: New Greddy Exhaust and UK suppliers?

Do you keep these in stock or do they need to be ordered in? If so what are the lead times on it? I do fancy going to back to twin exit but probably later in the year.

Also is there any information on how loud it is, assuming it's not massively loud but it needs to pass noise test at most tracks.
