Peter youre a fekking hero... guide i was using has me fitting the tensioner at the same time as changing the pulleys, i didnt think it would make any difference since i aint pulled the pin out of the tensioner. However i've noticed it is protruding slightly, belt now on, just need to refit the damn...

timing belt help!

im half way through changing the cam belt on my st205.. how the hell do you get the new timing belt on? is there a special technique cos i cant seem to get it over all the pulleys. complete nightmare, its like its just a fraction too smal.

Bit of a long story and.. i'll let you know now its an ST205 gt4 not an mr2 but im hoping to pick the brains of all you rev3 owners out there... Story starts a while back.. in crawling traffic car cuts out, managed to start again but it kept cutting if revved.. im pretty sure it wa around the 2500 r...

After 92 the car MUST have a cat physically fitted. or it will fail regardless of results.

if your car is after 92 ( i think) the cat has to be phsically there to pass. before this date you can remove the cat and as long as it still passes emissions then thats fine

hmmm depends, you could put an egt outside every cylinder and then you will see if one in particular is running any hotter than the others.if its hotter, chances are its leaner. A wideband further down the exhaust will only give you an everage afr reading.

green temp sensor stops working once the car comes off cold start map so not really gonna be that. I'd suspect the o2 sensor as it's this that controls fuelling once warm. Steve yes but if the temp sensor is is duff then the car will constantly think its cold and be throwing fuel in by the bucket f...
