Hey Paul,
Thanks for the guide, it will be saved on a Belgian computer without any critics!
It is surely not needed for the moment on my car but could certainly become very handy one day!
Cheers,
Frank

Re: Cambelt snapped
Well, I had the same issue last year in April with mine after rebuilding the engine and driving it for 2years (10.000km). Everything was OEM but I always suspected I over tightened the belt
It happened while 'cruising' on the highway at 120km/h, I measured the valve clearance and found just 1 exhau...

Re: individual throttle bodies
After countless hours on the net looking into everything about the mk1 mr2 while waiting for summer to come, I got interested into itbs. I had the same idea 2years ago but since I have a original big port blue top in my car I was looking for a specific 4A-GE as a starting base for a ITB setup. The ...

Re: Temperature dropping at highway speed
Did you make sure the thermostat was orientated properly with the casing? You have to align it? Guess I found my problem. What should I align, are there markings on the thermostat? Hey BIGBOBO, I'm also from Belgium and all the info is in the repair manual. I got an eletronic version of the ...

Re: Got to be an error here
The mk3 rear caliper fits the mk1 rears
Is this true? Tried to google it but couldn't find it.
Do they fit the same way as the front calipers from a ST185?
What about the discs? Can they be mounted also?
Thanks,
Frank

Thanks for the replies! I was a little stupid, didn't check the SSR site first but it seems there is a distributor in Germany, 200km from my home. So I'll try with the Germans first otherwise, like kaiowas said, calculate the taxes in the total price and hope the Belgian customs leave me alone! I'll...

Hello, It is time for new rims on my AW11 and I think I made up my mind about the SSR Type-C. I dont have to say my decision was maybe influenced by this car: http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j273/RdSss/20101120A.jpg However mine is also red, I would like to have them in Gunmetal. I found the rims...

To make the cooling system secure & reliable the heater hoses would need to be replaced as well though
Completely forgot those inside the car!

Re: Aluminum radiator
So if there's interest, I could try to have AW11 OEM radiator hoses made of silicone. Yes I'm very interested but what hoses are you speaking about? Everything between the engine en radiator I suppose. I tried to look at TOYODIY site to have an idea but couldn't find much hoses. I 'm planning to bu...

Re: Aluminum radiator
It's just a nice trinket to have on a MK1 but doesn't really help with anything. It was kind of the idea to be honest! O:) I don't have any heating problem fot the moment but last time I took the radiator off, I gave it a little clean but you can see it is already for very long on the car! Since I ...

Re: Mk1 based buggy - help required
Is the number 3 not the signal cable for the Economy meter in the dashboard?
I think it is connecter to a vaccuum sensor on my car. When connected to ground the green light in dash goes yellow.
But I guess you won't need it in the buggy!

Ok, I'll test that.
When looking at the pictures, I found the positionning of the drop links also a little strange.
I'll keep you posted!
Thanks,
Frank

Strange steer feeling in corner to the left
Hello, I have a Mk1 with Eibach springs, Koni adjustable schock absorbers, Super Pro bushings and Whiteline ARB. When I take a highspeed (110 - 120 km/h) long corner to the left it feels like the the car goes off the line (understeer) although I 'm certainly not at the grip limit of the tires. It fe...
