Re: [Mk2] [Generic] woodsport wide arches

As others have said all the other 'solutions' require a lot of work to get to fit and most of us don't have a fibreglassing expert to hand (yet). That's beside the point Chris, remember those escort arches I showed you ? They might have been cheaper but they were all wrong to go onto an MR2 ...

Thing is with a tarp, it's not lined so it'll rub the paint when the wind blows it about. ](*,)

Re: Waterproof covers for the Mk1

it takes forever to clear the screen in the morning. theres just too much water to remove with a towel. Same here, my windscreen had soo much ice on the inside. Nice patterns though  Huge droplets of water hanging from the sunroof too. Felt like that test they did on top gear where they drove ...

Re: MOT help!

Bump, Need my MOT sorting out ASAP, so any recommendations of friendly garages? Depends how far you're willing to travel. :-k I built up a good relationship with Windsor garage in Coventry. One of the MoT testers called Cherie used to work for Rogue and knows her MR2s. She used to deal with my mk1 ...

Re: New to MR2

Tracking needs looking at as steering wheel is off centre. This may not be the tracking, it could just be that the last owner removed the steering wheel for something and didn't line it up very well when they put it back on. Does it have an aftermarket wheel ? :-k Not sure on the coolant issue, how...

Clutch issue..?

Right I've just got back from a short drive and went to pull off from a set of lights to find no clutch pressure at all (floppy pedal) :-s Came off the gas thinking I was going to have to 'crash' the box to get home and the car went into second. Clutch then came back for the next change and went aga...

Re: wheel arch repair

Do you have a pic of the finished (painted) arch? I'm interested in where the arch meets the channel on each side. Is it just a case of good filling to get it right... Dave I dont at the mo as mine isn't quite finished, The channel is going to need a bit of work on mine still as a wee part of...

Re: wheel arch repair

These are my pics, the rust had got a lot further than we had expected so the whole arch has been replaced. :) We started to take off paint at the bottom of the arch as it was the outer sill that needed welding, took the grinder to it to find about half an inch of filler that I wasn't aware of :evil...

Re: wheel arch repair

Where would anyone recommend that I cut it out to? Still on the 'flat' part of the arch or above that (after the join with the body). And do I just cut the 6inch where the rust is and try to join it or do I take most of the arch? Dave Best to give us some piccies to look at dude, I have some progre...
