Re: Removing Weight From the Doors

Because if you put the cage in (will improve handling dramatically also) but then all it would need is something to A) look better than an air gap B) stop water getting in. Id just make a light but strong sheet, and bond it over the gap.

Re: Removing Weight From the Doors

Hes probably put a massive mark up on them. Only thing stopping me making bits is i need my car to travel to work and back so cant drive there with bits missing while i am making moulds. Sometimes i think these people making composite parts dream the prices out of the air. He quoted £300 a pair for...

Re: Removing Weight From the Doors

as stated earlier, it will be leaky with plastic windows. You could play attack the door with an angle grinder to get excess material out and leave a bare outer skin, but to me this is getting desperate and i certainly wouldn't do it on any road going car at least. I know a guy who can make carbon s...

Re: Project MRX350

IMO Gold would look sweet without the carbon bonnet and light covers. White gets dirty too easily and fades when you give the brakes some abuse an anthracite colour would look nice, but i think black, black on red is sweet.

Re: Project MRX350

I even had a set of the green nitron filled ones from demon tweeks when my mate ha...

Re: exhaust wrap

Depending on the grade of exhaust material, if it retains too much heat, the tube can crack. It will make the exhaust system louder, and if on a turbo car with will decrease lag time and give a little more power.(slightly). I would expect a teenie weenie gain on an N/A.
