Re: 235mph!!! Do i have the fastest Tubby? EDIT - NEW RECORD?

Mine displays MPH. I didn't know you could switch it back to KPH http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/AndyJones/Doh.gif it's reading is 2-3MPH slower than the speedo needle. The reason i'm puzzled is because i didn't go anywhere near the equivalent in MPH so i haven't a clue where 235 came from :?

Re: 235mph!!! Do i have the fastest Tubby? EDIT - NEW RECORD?

that display looks like km/h = 145 so its likely accurate The screen says kph but it does "usually" display mph. I asked RC when it was originally fitted why it reads the same as my speedo if the avc-r is supposed to display kph and they said they recalibrate them to show mph. So i don't ...

Re: SPL Departure 2 swap for Blitz Nur Spec?

Yay! Departure 2 back in front :P For looks has to be the Departure 2, Personally i prefer the twin exit design and regarding the rusting middle pipes i recently relocated the fog lamp to help (try and) hide this :) Although i've now been informed it an MOT fail as it's 18cm off the ground  For...

Re: Andy Jones Spark Plug Colours & Comp Ratio

Andy, don't stress about white plugs - on modern engines where the ECU tunes the fuel delivery white plugs are normal. Certainly mine are grey/white and they're fine. Thanks Ben, Will go and have a chat with the guys at RC in the new year regarding the timing to clear things up (I remember them say...

Re: Andy Jones Spark Plug Colours & Comp Ratio

Cheers for the info guys, i'll avoid the iridiums then cause mine does do a lot of short journeys :(

Is gtschris about or does anyone know if the colder type plugs he sells are either the BKR7EP or BCR8ES you both mention?

Re: A quick check on offset

Hi Billy, They'll fit :)

Running the same width's & offset on mine. On rare occasions (very bad dip in road) the fronts do scrub against the plastic arch lining, But it is lowered 50mm

Re: Andy Jones Spark Plug Colours & Comp Ratio

Hi Graeme, The plugs have been in 18 months as the previous owner changed these on it's last service before i bought her. The car was in for a service a month before the recent re-map and they said the plugs were fine so i'm presuming they've deteriorated due to the recent re-map? IIRC RC asked what...

Re: Correct Closest Tyre Size

If you wanna keep the rolling radius the same as the o/e tyres when stepping up to 17" then a 205/40 front, 215/40 rear is the closest possible match. As you've probably seen, 225/40 is not available. The majority of people seem to avoid running 215/40's on the rear cause they aren't as wide as...

Re: Shot of my MR2

Tother side of motorway from BA then.

Thats better, Real colour visable now. Pressures i run are 30 front 34 rear.

Thinking of getting some light weight rims for mine next year (Got my eyes on some Enkei RP02-J's in white) A lot lighter than what i'm running on now but not as light as the Volk's.
