Once ...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Boost gauge pressure take off
Hi all, just wondering where you all mount your pressure take off for the boost gauge? I'm told that the most accurate place for what actually gets into the engine is the inlet manifold. What are your thoughts people?[/u]

[Mk2] [Turbo] head gasket, which one?
Hi all, have a rev2 turbo and its leaking oil of course. I believe its coming from the head gasket. I'm planning on upping boost, aftermarket IC, larger injectors and management eventually. My question is what head gasket to go for and having never replaced a hg on a turbo'd motor before I also need...

How is the general bodywork condition apart from the rear wing? Has the clutch failed or will it drive back to Cambridge?

Re: Still have brake bleeding issues, any advice??
Try bleeding it again normally, then have an assistant in the car, ask them to pump the pedal a couple of times and hold it, at that point open the nipple briefly and then close. Do that a procedure a couple of times for each corner, works a treat.

Re: mot requirments
MOTs are a minimum standard for the day of the test to prove that the vehicle is roadworthy for that day only. The certificate is valid for 1 year but doesnt prove the vehicle is roadworthy for the whole year just for the day of the test. As far as daylight MOTs from experience it is possible to hav...

scary steering issue
Hi all, driving my mr2 rev 2 and it seems that at fairly high speeds, talking 55mph+, higher speed left banking it feels like the whole car is snaking left to right. Its strange the steering wheel stays in the position held and doesnt shake or anything, just the rest of the car. I've checked over th...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] threaded tentioner bolts
Hello bud, I had the same problem when I did a cambelt for a mate recently. Luckily one of the holes had still got good threads inside so I tightened that one up as much as I dare then with the other bolt I covered it in thread lock and has been fine ever since. By no means a permanent repair but it...
