Low revs...

I've had another oddity pop up on the car of late (I think its the season for it?? :? )... Basically, the car seems to be engine braking more harshly than it has done in the past, and my aftermarket boost gauge seems to be showing a bit more negative pressure in these cases too..... Tonight I return...

Clutch Issues

Hi, A friend of mine recently bought a modded mr2 tubby (rev 3), which has had uprated cams fitted, all the usual extras etc, and is apparantly running 320bhp or so... .... problem is he can't use all those horses at the mo as the clutch is slipping. :( Now, if I recall correctly I think the PO said...

Re: BMW 330 turbo diesel

I had some git tailgaiting me on the motorway a couple of months back. Stuck my foot down to get away from him, and left him quite easily! I slowed down to let him pass a bit later on, and it turned out to be a 330cdi convertible (if I recall correctly), looked pretty new too. Thought those 3 litre ...

Re: MOT passed

Hmm - a DECATTED rev 3 passed? Is it a pre 95 model then, or are you friendly with the garage?

Just wondering if my 96 rev 3 would have any chance of passing an mot without a cat....

Changing Thermostat on a tubby

Hi, Think I may have put this on the wrong section initially, and dunno how to move it - so sorry for the duplicate post.... I'm having a little bit if erratic behaviour from my rev 3 tubby lately, which I think may be down to the thermostat. Some mornings the temp gauge takes ages to get to normal,...

Changing Thermostat & coolant temp sensors

Hi, I'm having a little bit if erratic behaviour from my rev 3 tubby lately, which I think may be down to the thermostat. Some mornings the temp gauge takes ages to get to normal, and the car doesn't seem to run as good as it normally does. Also idle revs seem to dip every now and again - basically ...

[mk2t]exhaust Flexi joint corrosion?

Hi, Giving my car a bit of a once over the other day, and noticed that the weld/metal around the top of the metal mesh-like sleeve at the flexi joint is breaking loose. :( Is this simply a cover for the flexi joint, or the actual joint? Doesn`t seem to be blowing or anything at the moment though, bu...

Yup, I would be interested too! For a rev3 tubby.
