Re: DIY Gearbox/Clutch Change *Update* Pics and Problems
By the way you dont need to remove hardly any suspension, when i did mine i just left the hubs and struts on and undone one of the hub to strut bolts which allowed me to tilt the hub to allow the driveshafts to pop out of the gearbox, i then just tied the driveshafts out the way with a bit of string...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Changing wheel bearings Rev2 Import NA
Yes im pretty sure the bearings are the same for all years/models for mk2. My advice if you havent already bought the bearings is to just change the hub with one from a scrap yard miles easier and cheaper :thumleft: Last time i was looking the bearings were nearly 50 quid each  A complete hub f...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] rev4 turbo 1 aston martin db9 nil
Lol a DB9 is goin to blow away an Mr2 at any speed once its going
0-60 times mean jack xxxx look at how much torque it has 420 lb-ft
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
My bike on paper can do 0-60 in under 3 secs and a 10 second quater mile but it aint guna keep up with a moving DB9.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] 19mm Nut removal
When this happens to me I dont waste time I just angle grind them off.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Im sure you would be able to get the grinder in there easy enouth and those bolts are really easy to come by from scrappy breakers etc.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

Re: How much wear does a trackday put on tyres?
I ended up losing aprox 2-3mm of tread which wernt too bad considering I spent the afternoon going sideways and completely spinning off a few times but I also destroyed my clutch and maybe gearbox although im yet to investigate it

Ok so i did a trackday at Cadwell park last week was brilliant fun. Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] using old tyres for drag strip???
On another note jimGTS how do you find the 40 profile compared to the 35?
Why did you change to the 40 profile as 245/35 is a nye on stock rolling radius?
I have 245/35/17 and am due a tyre change.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Steering Rack Play?
Are you talking about the ball joints on inner rack arms?
or the ball joints on the track rod ends?
or the ball joints themselves?
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
anyways all are fairly easy to replace and no you wont need to change the whole rack.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Nearside front Koni shocker is leaking/knackered,
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
nearside front bearing has small play,
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
inner track rod has a small amount of play,
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
offside rear bearing has definite play,
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Both rear tyres are really worn on inside edge, and need replacing.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

The steering on my car is well sloppy and is making a slight vibration/noise? Tonight I have looked underneath and had a yank of all the moving parts etc How much play can a wheel bearing have to be out because my drivers wheel has a tiny bit more play than the passenger wheel? Also the steering rac...
