Re: Mr2 didn't sell...

You've made the right choice to keep it. I dont think I will ever sell my 2. No car will ever come close to a mr2 turbo in terms of fun, performance and reliability considering its price and cheap insurance.

Drop links are a common problem and an easy one to replace if they havent seized up.

I thought there were only 2 types of white on the mk2? (040 and 043) Mine is 043 and is lacquered.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] slow start

mine also does this but I believe its my spark plugs being the problem. previous owner put one grade colder plugs even though my car is running stock boost and fairly standard which makes me think my plugs arent running efficiently.

Looks in very good condition. I doubt it will stay in that good condition as you're living in London and only have on street parking. No one in London seems to know how to parallel park..

Re: Am I looking back through rose tinted glasses... Looking for another mr2.

I am in exactly the same situation, had a Rev 3 GT Turbo in dark green, loved it but then moved onto other cars. I am looking now, lots of rubbish ones for sale or older rev 1 & 2 cars, if I decide to buy it would have to be the same spec as I had previously and it seems Rev 3 GT turbo tintops ...

100% legal, although imo it would look odd as the rear would be different.

Re: Fuel filter

Strange but most mr2 specialist dont have this on their site. I tried mr2ben, gtschris, camskill, tcbparts and fensport- non of which are genuine toyota. Dont really want to go into the main dealers as I dont really have time to go there.

Have to agree with everything so far, a car's condition and history is most important and the mileage is just a bonus.

Re: tyre size help on 16's...

Most popular sizes are F 205/45/16 with R 225/45/16 and I think are the closest to the standard rolling radius. I have gone for F 205/50/16 and R 225/50/16 which is perfect for the crappy roads plus I find it softens the bumpy roads but still gives me the confidence around corners.

Re: Found this in my mr2 turbo - what is it??

I reckon some Japanese dude made it so he could gamble in his car place the table in and though the dice, he was probably addicted to gambling so this meant he could play whilst driving haha, I thought it was a secret storage lid where the japanese owners hid their jdm bondage tapes and jdm school ...
