Re: Tyres on 15" rims for my 1.5
Steve - choice of tyre entirely depends on how you like your car to handle, and that's a very subjective thing. What's more important to you? Out and out grip, or handling? What's the best setup you've had in the past and why? do you take your car to the limit (and over it) on a regular basis, or do...

Re: Help needed please, mr2 supercharger alternator
How often do you use the car? Is there any chance that an interior light gets left on - or the radio (you have to physcially turn the radio off in that car as it's not wired to the ignition, so you have to make sure it's off before you get out)? If it were me, i'd take the battery out and fully char...

Re: Help needed please, mr2 supercharger alternator
What do you mean the battery won't charge? with the engine running, or out of the car?
Have you replaced the battery?
(PS it's AKA GUB - ie the last 3 letters on the plate - unless you've renamed it)

Re: Formation of IMOC-UK Ltd
Ok, it doesn't directly protect the club, but as a director of a company I know that it means that as the director, my assets cannot be taken in the event of legal action (the companies can, but not mine). Indirectly going ltd does protect the club as the alternative leaves the clubs officers liable...

So why am I looking at pictures of it on a trailer after the day then.... T Chances are it's one of the following: 1. Headgasket (would be peed off if it is, cos it will be my fault (engine put back together and only on the road again in Nov) 2. In replacing the coolant hose, alex didn't re...

Re: 14" wheels, What tyres.
There is no problem getting hold of mk1 sizes - standard being 185/60/R14, but that's not going to work with your mk2 Are you referring to any specific tyre there Anna? I'm struggling to find much choice in performance tyres in the standard mk1 size. Most tyre manufacturers simply aren't interested...

ahh... i see your problem...
They seem to be a bit of a strange size then... does anyone else go for a different size/profile that's a bit more popular?

Re: CADWELL PARK trackday weekend: 9/10 Feb 2008
Well, I had an ace time in the super nail. It was really good to be able to WOT and really drive it - for the first time ever! Unfortunately we had a coolant burp and steam at Cov on the way home this morning (after 100+ trouble free miles, we hit a traffic jam at tollbar island, and turned the car ...

Re: Tyre choices for track days.......
ok - direct probably the wrong word. But in the absense of any A539's the Parada is supposed to be taking it's marketplace. Or at least the guy at yokohama uk thought so... but he was just a sales monkey who had no idea of what I was on about when I enquired if it would be possible to look at the la...

Re: 14" wheels, What tyres.
I currently use the Yoko 539 tyre on my Mk1. Unfortunately these tyres are no longer available. So it's either the Yoko 'C' drive (which I run on the road) or the 'S' drive. :thumleft: Well, the direct replacement for A539 is the Parada spec 2 - i've just picked up a set this afternoon and am at Ca...

Nothing i say/said implicates 750 motor club legally....
