Re: 2008 MR2 Mk1 Club National AGM, 12th Oct

Some really good info coming out here! :thumleft: Am aware some negative vibes surround one of the series - I am probably confusing the two, but I had in mind that the good people to be involved with were: http://www.mr2championship.com/ At the end of the day, its for the club and its members, and ...

Re: 2008 MR2 Mk1 Club National AGM, 12th Oct

I race in the 750 formula, and are lucky enough to have our formula sponsored by Premier Choice Group. As a series sponsor, they have stickers on all of the cars competing, the formula is advertised as the 'premier choice group 750 formula', and their sponsorship goes to fund prizes for the winners ...

Re: 4AGZE Engine rebuild in pictures (56K no way)

I reckon it was done by a run of the mill garage, Lol does that count as Tom in secret/covert mode :P And yes - our Mr2 (no longer in our possession) had a rebore, but that was probably down to inept garages cocking up royally. I cannot stress enough - knock sensors are important on standard engine...

Re: another crashed mr2 :(

Some tyres are deceptive - uber grippy in the dry, and p1$$ poor in the wet. Maybe that's part of the reason that people get caught out - especially if you don't back off a bit in the wet. Ultimately I recommend anyone with an MR2 gets to a trackday to explore the limits of their car - including tak...

Re: MK1 CO2 emissions anyone

No need to worry in the UK. VED for pre 2001 vehicles, engine 1600cc or larger (i.e. Mk1 MR2): 2008: £185 2009: £185 2010: £200 They will not be able to retrospectively introduce CO2 charging on pre 2001 vehicles because they were never tested according to NEDC. There are strict rules regarding the ...

I played SF2 on a flight between Singapore and Hanoi about 4 weeks ago. Was ace :+: Tis true... He wouldn't shut up about it. And in comparing the Dreamliner to the A380, the Dreamliner won because it had SF2 on the inflight entertainment (ofcourse the A380 was way better, but I don't think the sai...

There are at least 10 mk1s racing at brands on sunday next week - according to the finals on the 750mc site. A bumper grid again - almost 40 mr2's! Looks like there are 2 race slots in the afternoon -no idea how they are splitting it this time - there were almost a gazillion mr2 races at Cadwell...!...
