Re: Tale of two MR2's...Berk Technology exhaust fitted

Berk is the nicest sound in my opinion. Has a somewhat subaru sound to it. That being said mine is extremely quiet from inside the car.

Ah so you do man! I need to use the site more! I had a 480bhp 335i and my mr2 would leave it standing still! I think next year I'm gonna go to a smaller turbo :)

Deffo sounds like the injector's been your issue man :(

Re: JDM Import Rev 2 Turbo - Megasquirt install. Anti lag. 2 step.

Oh wow man! Yeah 18psi on a ct20 is just too much. At that pressure it just blowing roasting hot air into a 20+ year old engine. Something has to give at some point I guess eh? To be completely truthful if I was to do my build again I'd probably just stick forged pistons in it, Go with a TD05 turbo ...

Re: Dyno results. 420@ the hubs.

Made 354lbs. Ah yeah I am very tempted by a boot mount!! Saves a lot of f*cking about. I've done absolutely nothing to the car lately. It's sat at my friends garage :( I'd sell it today if it was 100% sorted but it needs some work and I'd be costing myself a lot by not sorting the issues first. Name...

Re: The Grey Phoenix..Summer update

Great news man! Always a bit of time shaking the car down at first. Takes a good few runs to build confidence with it (or it did for me at least). Best advice I can give is to just get the hours in behind the wheel!

Ah great news man!! Looking forward to seeing what you have and what you do! Yeah 2gr build will be a while away i think. Just gonna enjoy the mr2 for what it is this year, get a load of maintaining done, it's starting to suffer some rust underneath!

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Top mount intercooler

Ah, so i guess the pressure from the pump fills the core before the water being pumped back into the reservoir? I'm gonna add a tank in that case. I have plenty room from it.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Top mount intercooler

sorry to keep bleating on guys. I would like to add a reservoir tank to my CC setup but I thought the reservoir had to be HIGHER than the CC core. However in this video that is definitely not the case. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=634Qwkf__hk Can anybody shed some light on this? I have the space ...

Yeah good ones can be serious money these days. I definitely don't agree with their pricing on here. I've yet to see an MoTd one go for under 2-3k recently.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Top mount intercooler

I thought the exact same thing. Why they are saying it supports 600bhp is beyond me.

Yeah you're right rob. I think for now I'll sort the CC system. It did work well when it worked.

I may go bootmount Rich. I did want to keep the boot but it's not a deal breaker.

Apparently supports 600bhp. I'd have to make up some pretty mad pipework to get to my daft side feed inlet. I have never really heard much about tuning developments and I can't see any real world info about this intercooler.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Top mount intercooler

I actually have yeah. I have the AVT filler neck but was worried about cutting into the CC core incase i wrecked it. Filling it isn't an issue to be honest. I just don't trust it all that much now :( I really just want to run an intercooler to be totally honest. Just trying to see what other options...
