There are 2 nuts you have to undo - the castle nut on the outside (outer wing) and the nut that holds the aerial to the bracket on the inside (boot).
I wouldn't yank it until you have undone both the nuts.

Re: what oil is best
Silkolene is manufactured by Fuchs..... The Fuchs Supersyn Plus 5w-40 is around £35 for 4 litres I remember you telling me this a while back when I asked a similar question. I took the liberty of asking Oilman what was the difference between the Fuchs and the Silkolene and this was the result: FUch...

Re: what oil is best
One of the affiliates on this site, Oilman (works for Opie Oils) recommends using Silkolene ProS 5w40, its a fully synthetic but pretty dear depending on your budget at £45. But it is regarded as one of the best. At the end of the day think of all the moving parts in the engine, you'd want the best ...

Well done mate.
I knew you raced as I've had a look at your site before. You appeared in my works monthly magazine (Selex Sensors and Airborne Systems) handing over a certificate to one of the apprentices.

They are different widths and offests. The fronts are 7.5" (ET25) and the rears are 8" (ET30). I don't think the the rears would go on the front without hitting the strut anyway.

Thtas disppointing mate as I've been looking at getting some Focal speakers. Heard a lot of people say some really good things about them. Would be good if you could keep us posted on the outcome as I'm in the market for either Focal or Infinity speakers so its always good to hear peoples experience...

other than that, top wheels. =D>
Cheers mate.
The fronts are more disehed than the rear. The last few pics show it well, must be something to do with the wheel widths.

Re: Advice please on buying another MR2
If its in that condition then it may not have been very well maintained and the engine could be in a poor state along with the running gear.
I would avoid it to be honest.
Are you looking for an MR2 on a budget?

Good work
I'll have to get the measuring tape out and see how low I can afford to go. 40mm would be ideal if I aint going to bounce off the arches!

Cheers guys! Knew I had to have the rims as soon as I seen them! =P~ I know what you mean about the wheel looking off-centre at the rear, I noticed it in pics 4 and 5 especially. Don't know if its due to the car sitting to high. :-k I'm thinking about a 30mm drop all round and some spacers on the re...

What are the sidewall on these tyres like? i have standard size alloys, so finding 225 50 15 tyres are not the easiest! I cant get Eagles!!! I currenlty run toyo's but find the sidewalls too soft, so the car seems to squat a little. Dont get me wrong! Very sticky! So are they as sticky as the Toyo'...

Re: widest tyres and alloys on my mk2
If its any help I have 215/45/17 on the front and 235/40/17 on the rear with offsets of 25 and 30 respectively. On the front, the tyre misses the underside of the strut by no more than 2mm i would say so don't know if the 40 profile you are looking at will be low enough. Hopefully someone can clarif...

Like I said, I've nothing to compare them against but they are doing a top job for me. I always thought that Khumo's where just a budget make when they first come out. I've had Pirelli P6000's on a previous car years ago, and I reckon they aren't a patch on these Khumo's. Especially considering the ...

Looks well smart mate. Less is definately more!
Never been a fan of the spoilerless look but you've turned me, on MR2 styling that is!
I'm liking the smoothness without the badges and the white wheels most definately catch they eye.
Top marks! =D>
