Re: MR2 Specialists in Central Scotland

I've asked this question before but never got a solid answer. I'm in Livingston too. Tuning Zone down at Houston Industrial Estate seem to be quite knowledgeable and on the few occasions I've been in for a look there has been an MR2 in there. I've never used their services myself. Theres always Kwik...

Re: My MR2 is very sluggish - advice needed please

Could it be something to do with the Lambda/Oxygen sensor? I am having similar problems.

Sticky for wheel sizes.

I've noticed a lot of people asking about wheel/tyre sizes and offsets recently so is there any chance of getting a reference guide?

I'll put my hand up and admit it all confuses the hell outta me, so I for one would find it quite beneficial! :D

My first repair?

Noticed over the past few days that my cars idling high from cold starts - sits around 1500 rpm. When the engine is warm and idling it fluctuates between 800 and 1100 rpm. I've also noticed the occasional flat spot and the car just doesn't feel the same. :( Can anyone shed any light? Cheers Graeme

Wheel Websites..

Good morning,

Can any of you point me in the direction of websites that sell jap or jap style wheels. I keep coming across the usual run of the mill alloy websites.

Thanks
Graeme

Re: clock fuse?

Would any of these fuses control whether the aerial would work or not? [-o<

I replaced a blade fuse in the back of my stereo (aftermarket) as it had blown when one of the fuses (bolt in ones) went under the bonnetm but the aerial doesn't work so I have no radio.

Re: Wheel styles...

Cheers guys. Muttley: I had a look at some of the Jap wheels you mentioned in your post. I thought the prices where good until I seen they were priced per wheel!!! #-o Not looking for anything flash as I don't stay in the most reputable of areas so chances are an expensive set would get damaged/nick...

Wheel styles...

I'm in the market for a new set of wheels and would like to know what the collective think of the best kind of wheels to go for. I know everyone has there own personal taste but do you reckon that Jap style rims suit the '2 better than say the kind that you would find advertised in your Max Power ki...

Pink to make the boys wink....

I bought my red Mk2 about a month ago and have since T-Cut it three times with the red stuff. After cutting I put on the Auto Glym Super Resin Polish followed by the Extra Gloss Protection. My dilemma is that the car looks great immediately after polishing in but in a matter of days the paintwork st...

Re: Workshop Manuals

Stupid question time! #-o

Is there any way of setting up the page so I can just print the instruction bit rather than getting the menu down the side as well, otherwise it cuts off half the important bit.

Cheers

Workshop Manuals

Hi all,

Can anyone supply me with Mk2 NA workshop manuals that have both mechanical and electrical content, whether it be through email or CD ROM. I'm willing to pay for them. :D

The car is a '95 2.0 GT, N/A model.

Cheers

Re: [Mk2 ] ... Aerial woes!

Thanks mate.

I'll have a look tonight round about the amp and connections to see if there's a prbolem. Might get back to you about the PDFs if you wouldn't mind.

Thanks for now.

Re: Autoglym Max Gloss Pics

Good job!

Is that the polish that's recommended for darker coloured paintwork?

I used the High Gloss lacquer on top of the Super Resin polish but didn't give me the desired effect on a red car. Worked well on my previous black car though.

Re: [Mk2 ] ... Aerial woes!

Cheers mate, I'll give it a look.

At the risk of sounding like a xxxx, where do I find the amp? 8-[

Is there anyone else out there that can shed some light on my problem? Would a multi-meter be any use to check if there's any power reaching the aerial?

Cheers.

[Mk2 ] ... Aerial woes!

Guys, Just bought my car a few weeks ago and not been that electrically minded I cant get the aerial to work. Before I bought the car the previous owner had an issue with a fuse - one of the ones under the bonnet you have to unbolt from underneath (fixed now). The aerial has seemingly not worked sin...

Very nice mate!

How did you go about doing the lettering, or is it just the original stuff scrubbed up?

Re: More for the Scots...

Cheers for the replies guys. I'm in 2 minds whether to get the belts etc done or buy a nice set of wheels! Common sense and experience tells me to get the mechanical work done first! I'll give Hypertech a call and see what they're saying. As for CRD, I must admit, I've heard a few horror stories too...
