Re: Ditch finders!

I have the AD08s on the RX7 at the moment and they are superb. When they're cold in the morning though - they are deadly. It spins the wheels, like im driving on an oil slick every morning for the first couple of miles, then when they warm up...... they are a joy to drive on. Once warm - I have neve...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Clutch Hardline Replacement [Updated - see last post]

Its easy to do with the tank in place - I done it on the drive in about 2 hours. Only hard bit is getting it into the frunk section. the rest is easy.

£35 from Mr T for the hardline.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Major Coolant Leak!

The other one to think about that I had is the coolant bypass pipes themselves - if the o-ring that goes into the tstat housing is worn OR any of the bolts that hold the bypass pip on are loose - it will leak from the tstat housing.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Major Coolant Leak!

Near the exhaust manifold - could it be the hose from hell or its brother. HFH - Coolant Bypass 6 HFHOE - Coolant Bypass 5 http://www.turbomr2.com/MR2/HowTo/Engine_Upgrade/Rebuild/Images/Cooling/Coolant_Pipes_Finished.jpg They tend to wear out after twenty years and burst - spraying coolant everywhe...

Re: Poxy leaking t-bar

Solution really is a tintop :)

I had 2 tbars, a moonroof and a tintop. I loved the tintop the best.

On the tbar front though, the silicone worked for me :D

Re: MR2 how much are they worth?

RX7s have seemed to hold value well.

When I bought one ten years ago now, I paid £5k for one in excellent condition with a rebuild etc etc.

Now, you'll pay £5k for an average condition one. The one I bought back then would have sold for around £6k now

Its a bigger as Im buying one again haha

Re: Council run MOT for a tubby

I remember my purple Tubby a few years back. I took it in to a test centre just to check the emmissions prior to MOT and the guy was adamant that " there must be a CAT on there as its so low"

There was no CAT haha

:D

Re: Bogging down on hard acceleration/load

Checking the fault codes is normally the best way to check. However if the CEL is not coming on then hmmmm.

Have you checked your ignirion leads? Also Earth Straps if youve been at the alternator?

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] P/S not working even after replacing all parts

The speedo gauge (if its a Rev 2 onwards) will determine whether the PAS works. If the speedo cog is stripped or the electronics inside the sensor are dead, then you will have no PAS. This happened on mine, tried ECU, PAS ECU, Relay and nothing worked. If there is no current coming from the Speed Se...
