Re: Astral Black Rev 3 Spoiler £30 posted
Most of the panels are in this video, along with the skirts. The drivers rear doesn't have the fibreglass bit you can see in the vid, it's been stripped back to the broken actual skirt. http://static.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vid198.photobucket.com/albums/aa178/hmltnangel/VIDEO0065_zps2...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] boost control and boost spikes.
I had my Profec B setup perfect on the car before breaking. Itd hold 17.8 with no spikes.

Re: Aston Martin V8 VS Rev 3 tubby...
I dont really do the head to head to be honest. Occassionally I'll have a wee blast with someone on a deserted road. Its just not worth the risk to me, my car or other road users. I love my jap cars, Rx7 in particular. hence buying another soon. but if im honest and won the Euromillions, itd be a Fe...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Best way to monitor a chargecooler??
Yeah, its not the coolant temp you want to worry about though. You want two things - coolant level - so you know if its empty, Air intake temp - so you know what temp the air going into the engine is. Coolant level is easy Sheppy, AIT is easy too. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=water+level+sensor...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Best way to monitor a chargecooler??
I had it too high in the system, it should be at the lowest point. There are two hole on the gearbox for it to attach to. I would probably fabricate something to protect it if it was down there though. Something simple that just shields it from road debris. cool, do you have that bracket?? i could ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Best way to monitor a chargecooler??
The system is a full ST205 system. ST205 Pre Rad, Pump, Core All the pipes that were on my car will be going with it and everything has been cut to fit in regards to the brackets etc. The only stuff that Sheppy needs will be a better bracket to fit the pump wherever he chooses and any additional bit...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Best way to monitor a chargecooler??
£300 is crazy, the simplest way to monitor the level is with a level sensor - of which there is one already there. Its just how to utilize the existing sensor. I'd guess the ST205 BGB would have some way of testing it, therefore telling you how you could rig it to flash if its low. To monitor AIT - ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Best way to monitor a chargecooler??
I think the best way mate, is to fit an ST205 ECU as it has the circuit for monitoring it.
Alternatively, Im sure something could be rigged to the level sensor to flash on your dash that its low.
I tended to check mines once a week (or every 200 miles or so) just to be certain.

Re: removong std turbo
Technically yes, I personally find it easier to remove the manifold and lift it out in one lump. The biggest problem with stock turbos are the bits that hold the cat/downpipe in place and any stays that stop movement. The bolts always tend to be stuck if they havent been off in a while. That being s...

Re: turbo kit recommendations
Well I run (or ran - the cars being stripped NOW) a GT2860RS with an external wastegate. Superbly fast spool, fantastic noise off the screamer and good for around the 340 mark. no creep when used with a Profec B Spec ii, holds 12 psi at Lo boost and 17.8 psi at Hi boost perfectly. You can hear the s...

Re: [FINALIZED] Beams SW20 / £3000
If you have it out mate, you could drop by mines, we can take it up the hills near me and get some decent shots. I have a nice new wide angle lens that would help get the interior better too.
