Re: Recommend engine oil?
I use Castrol Edge 5W-40. I don't burn any oil. Some time ago someone thought that Magnetic got very thin with age, which is why I switched to fully synthetic. But if you've had no problems Lauren then maybe they were mistaken. Magnetic is certainly cheaper, and regular changes of cheaper oil is pro...

Re: Floppy wing mirror - help needed with fix
Fixed now. A U-clip that holds the big spring in place had pinged off. Needed some fettling, but it's now back in place. I would add some pictures, but looks like that's not possible here

Floppy wing mirror - help needed with fix
Hi all, My wing mirror has gone all floppy! It feels like the spring that normally keep it in position has broken, so it moves backwards and forwards with no resistance. Does anyone know what can be done to fix it? Can I simply remove the mirror and replace a spring with one from a scrappy, or does ...

Rear tracking/tie rod bars
Hi,
Where can I get rear tracking/tie rod bars from these days?
Sbits used to do them, but can't find a website anywhere.
Twosrus have them, but they're across the pond and $175 for the pair.
This is for a late spec Mk1.
Ta!

Re: Battery frunk relocation
I did this for my SC. I used some threaded bar with lock nuts at the top to support the existing battery frame. If you do this mod then you must put a big, fat fuse near the battery in the frunk (about 150A I think) otherwise a short between the +ve wire and the earthed body between the battery and ...

Re: Battery Drain
A common problem is that the ignition key is removed when in the Acc position. The mechanism should prevent this, but with time it wears out. If you don't already, try pushing and holding the button on top of the key barrel (on the steering column) while moving the key to the final Off position, the...

Re: Fidanza Flywheel
I did have a slight issue with mine.
After the engine had warmed up, when I pulled up at some lights and put the clutch in then the engine would sometimes stall. There could have been an issue elsewhere of course.

Re: Car Search - MR2 SC -
Hey Chris. I remember meeting you once at Millway when I had my NA in there. You let me have a drive around the block and encouraged me to utilise some of the water in your boot! To cut a long story short, I've now got my own SC Fun.

Re: Whats this connector for?
It's something to do with the Climate Control that is only found on some SC models. My best guess is a light sensor but I've never bothered to test it.
