You can remove it. It's only connected to a light on the dashboard.

Re: The twincharger lives!

What's that headed for Patrick? GT86 at a guess...? I don't want to end up hijacking Toni's triumphant twincharger thread so I'll try and make this the last non-related post! Yes, the V8 is for the GT86: https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/577956_489564407771594_1381434273_n.jpg ...

Re: The twincharger lives!

Hi Patrick, is that at the wheels or fly? I'm regularly seeing 325bhp and 290lbs.ft from my 2gr swaps. Below is a typical graph from one of mine.. It's at the hubs - flywheel figures are little more than (educated) guessing and since a lot of what we do these days is motorsport related we need to d...

Re: The twincharger lives!

I'm always surprised that people try and work out flywheel figures when there are are accurate figures to work from right there! If you want to compare apples with apples, here are some 2GR-FE plots on the same dyno. Lower line is naturally aspirated, upper line is supercharged. http://roguemotorspo...

Sounds like you could do with a visit David! I've got a lot of potential options, including some race cars that are either going to be sold or broken for parts that might be of interest to you. If it were me and my money, and ride quality on the road wasn't a concern, then I'd really have to love my...

Re: Failed fuel pump? Melted in tank wiring

It definitely looks to me like the connection joining the two wires was the issue. Did you use a proper crimping tool to make it or a pair of pliers? It wasn't a short circuit because it's the ground wire that's failed, and that can touch anything but a live wire without issue. If the red wire had c...

Re: Window clonk

Assuming they work the same as the mk2, your window regulators are about to fail. At some point that clonk is going to become a snap and the window will drop!

This crash would appear to occur about a month from now... ;)

Very unlucky but looks like a light impact - a little bit of bashing (technical term) and a new bumper and she'll go again no problems.

Re: Brands Hatch MK2 MR2 race crash from a few years ago... any images of the cage?

The cage in the black car was pretty mangled but it did save Andrei's life. Andy White at AW Tracksport was running him so he would be the guy to talk to, plus the cage suppliers took a load of shots for themselves I understand. I have the same cage in my race car and I am ashamed to say I can't re...

Anything is possible. But for the purposes of your question - no. You'd need a custom bell housing.

The fan warning light on the dashboard is only for the engine bay. There is no warning light for the radiator fans.

Depends on what part of the block you're talking about. Around the water pump they're the weakest and we won't touch them for race car builds.
